Several months ago i met a nice young lady, Ammie a/k/a "The Pear" f/k/a "Ammiesworld". Shortly after meeting, it came to my attention she was a fan of football (the American Gridiron variety). I found it quite adorable that a british girl was a fan of this great American sport. And, as time passed, it became apparent that she knew a thing or two about the game. This made for some fun conversations and arguments (mainly arguments), especially when my beloved Jets or her beloved Cardinals played. I especially enjoyed the arguments due to my supreme confidence that I was the superior mind as it relates to the game. She could hang in a conversation, but I was all-pro and she was back-up at best. Unfortunately, everything I believed to be true came crashing down on me and the cold hand of reality smacked me in the face about a week ago, culminated by the Raven's shocking defeat of the Patriots. You see, a series of intricate playoff betting revealed that Ammie knows far more about football than i do now or could ever hope to in the future. It is a sad but true reality that I have to live with for the rest of my life. I don't think the healing process can truly begin, until I admit this to myself, and to everyone here. Please lend me your support as I cope with the fact that The Pear is so vastly superior to me in all aspects of football knowledge. Any kind words will be appreciated.
