Going into the home stretch of the season, these are the teams and match-ups if the playoffs started today:

WESTERN CONFERENCE
1. San Antonio Spurs vs. 8. Utah Jazz
2. Dallas Mavericks vs. 7. Denver Nuggets
3. LA Lakers vs. 6. Portland Trailblazers
4. Oklahoma City Thunder vs. New Orleans Hornets

EASTERN CONFERENCE
1. Boston Celtics vs. 8.Indiana Pacers
2. Miami Heat vs. 7. Philadelphia 76ers
3. Chicago Bulls vs. 6. New York Knicks
4. Orlando Magic vs. 5. Atlanta Hawks

Out of these match-ups, how do you see the playoffs and the Finals playing out?

I'd like to say my Miami Heat, but Spo needs to get the Big Three under control, espically LeBron.

It's amazing how nobody is picking San Antonio to go all the way. All the experts are picking either Boston or the Lakers. I wonder what a healthy Chicago would do? After their first 20 games I would have never picked them, but I like Miami right now. With Bosch accepting the 3rd role and Lebron and Wade running all over the court... They are looking good!

I have a bet from the beginning of the year on the Spurs to win it all. i think it might be a Celtics/Spurs final.

Me and Lonestar are at odds, because he is a Maverick fan and I am a Heat fan...but I have to agree with him. If LeBron is the front man for Miami, the Heat won't win a title. Wade, needs to be the front man. I am a huge Miami fan, but in my opinion Wade is much better than LeBron and knows how to win a title. LeBron is overrated, and as Lonestar said he is a glorified Scottie Pippen. There is a reason Wade won a title with a weaker supporting cast and LeBron couldn't.

To me the Heat won't win this year, because here we are going into the playoffs, and the Heat are still talking about it being a process, if Im a Heat fan, Im not feeling good about our chances this year, cant beat Boston, any team with a winning record gives them fits, when ever they loses its still a process.

I know how some of them play out, but I dont know how some like the Bulls and Knicks is a pick'em as well as the second round match between the Lakers and Mavericks.

If the playoffs are anything the season, this is going to be good!

Look out for those Philadelphia 76ers to "bring their talents to South Beach" and "shock the world" as they knock off the Miami Heat in the 1st round. Since the Sixers started the season 3-13 they have since gone 27-16 which would stack up against the best records in the league during that time. Doug Collins should receive serious consideration for NBA Coach of the Year.

The process is to make LeBron realize he is to be the Number two man.....We would of beaten Boston three times, The Mavericks once, New York and Chicago twice and have over 50 wins if James would realize he is not the top dog here. If you look at most of those games its James being selfish taking the games into his own hands and chocking in the clutch.

I will give you credit. You are a Miami Heat fan and YOU realize that Lebron needs to be #2, not the leader of the Heat. That's what the whole arguments have been against Lebron taking his talents to South Beach. They say he needs to join another team to get a ring. That's all fine and dandy, but he should realize that the Heat are DWYANE WADE'S team not his. Wade has a ring. Wade is pretty much the reason why Miami won a title.

But Lebron is trying to be the leader. This is where the Heat may have problems. Lebron is not and should not be the leader of a team where the main guy has already won a title. The Heat will be good, but I think until Lebron accepts the "Scottie Pippen" role, the Heat may not win a title.

I am glad to hear I am not crazy. The LeBron fantanics call me a "Diva nuthugger" because I keep saying Wade needs to be number 1 and LeBron needs to be a role player. There is a reason LeBron couldn't win with a much stronger supporting cast. Not to mention everytimes LeBron loses us a game, people blame Wade and say he was trying to do to much. I am glad we have a player like LeBron, he is very talented, but he is overrated (and one of his MVP's should be Wade's). LeBron has to learn to play in a system.

What...no love for the Pistons? Heck, they played a game with only 6 players last week, how many others teams can say that??

Seems like there might be some imploding going on around the league? Anybody see the Heat Orlando game? Heat /Bulls? Lakers/ Spurs?:woot2:

I'm wondering if Miami will start every home game in the playoffs with a laser show?

The Heat crushed the Lakers.....:doublefinger:

And San Antonio crushed the Heat and the Lakers spanked San Antonio, so your point is?

Anyway, I want to see that laser show in Miami :idunno:

And I also want some warm buttered popcorn and lots of smoke and oh, I hope LeBron does another repeat of the 'multiple titles' speech. That was classic.

My point is the Heat crushed the Lakers and will do it again. LeBron is a douche he needs to realize he is not as good as Dwyane Wade, and once he lets D-Wade flurish and finish the game (same with Spo) the Heat will win. For our 20 losses, LeBron is responsible for half them if not more. "Blow the game" James (not catchy or creative but fits perfectly) can't finish. People are starting to realize that, and he needs to also.

They always knock the best players in basketball, Wilt, Lebron etc.. Malone, Stockton, Payton, Ewing, Erving got hammered until they won it all, that's if they won it all. No sympathy for Lebron, he put it on himself with that freak show signing. The Heat, the team you love to hate!

Will that be before or after the Heat are done crying in the locker room, as reported by their coach, after Miami lost to the Bulls? :idunno:

Finals: Mavs v Heat, MIA takes 2-0 series lead, begin planning their parade, DAL wins 4 straight! familiar?

I believe it would be right now...after the Heat beat the Lakers, and Kobe Bryant cried like the little girl he is....

Well the Heat won't choke and Ted Airson (sp) won't whine like a little girl. Even after the reporters prove him how wrong he is about the call....
