The Pose

Don't know if this question has been asked before.
But does anyone know of the origin of "The Pose". I mean has it been around forever, or has it just been popular in say the last few decades. Perhaps some of our older (definitely no insult intended) members can remember their first memory of it. I know I can remember mine!!

Pose is basically woman lying on her belly with her feet up and crossed over behind her, effectively showing off her soles, the link is an example...
As for its origins i wouldn't have a clue, but a site like the mousepad might have a better idea as they are a foot site.

As I recall, there was a pic of a woman lying on her stomach, feet in the air posted a while back and one reply just said, "Oh, the pose! THE POSE! I love the pose!"

It took off from there.

I'm not certain if that was the first time it was called The Pose so if someone wants to correct me, feel free, but that's the earliest I can remember.

It is really a "foot" term and became a "tickler's" term

LOVE the POSE! To me it is one of the SEXIEST things a woman can do. For someone who finds attractiveness in soles as I do, the pose gives you a look at both a beautiful smiling face, a curvy body, and vulnerable ticklish soles facing a camera at eye level and full view. "The pose" just screams "come tickle my feet" to me. It causes nearly every cell in my body to say, "go get her".

I think "the pose" has been around forever, but there is a sexiness to it that cause even Non- foot people and non- ticklers to respond, because it always seems to pop up.

Okay, now here's Brigitte Bardot circa 1950s or 1960s, so now we can agree that THE POSE has been around for at least 50 years. Granted, this isn't a true pose as the soles are not adequately shown, but in the early days of THE POSE, maybe they needed to be a bit more discreet concerning matters of the feet:

Now we just have to work our way further back into history until we pinpoint the exact time THE POSE was 'invented.' Too bad cameras weren't around back when Cavemen and Cavewomen were roaming the Earth.

For the life of me I cant remember who it was (its been years) but the term "the pose" as in 'she was in the pose with no shoes on' to describe how a person looked in a scan or vidcap originated by a member of the Mousepad. It is the only term we ever used that I saw get picked up in the internet fetish landscape...we had a few others when I was there on a regular basis. It hasnt been decades though...the internet as we know it has barely been around decades 😉
