The prefect situation and the worst results

So I'm out to dinner last night with my family and one of the waitstaff is the younger sister of one of my best friends. She stops by to chat for awhile and everything is fine.

As we leave the dining area my son (3 years old) starts lagging behind the group. As I'm waiting for him I see that Chris is now standing by the bar. Actually she has her legs spread apart on the bar-foot rail (stradling the area where the bar lifts up to go in and out) and she's supporting herslef with her hands spread out the same way on top of the bar. Basically in a "X" position...with her back to me!

She was talking to one male and one female bartender and as I walked up on her the female made eye contact with me and had no idea what I was doing. I only had one hand free so I used my left hand to reach around and tickle her left side/ribs. Nothing. No startled jump...no laugh...not so much as a "HEY".

sigh...she just turned around and smiled and said goodbye and stayed in the same position.

Perhaps if I had more time...if I had both hand free...who knows?

Oh well, at least I had the oppertunity!

Awkward and frustrating, isn't it?

It's always a disappointment when you work up the nerve to "go for it," only to find either the woman isn't ticklish or your touch failed to get her the right way.

ESPECIALLY when you know her brother, sister, and mother are all very ticklish!

I think she was ticklish too, but she is about 8 years younger than us so I never messed with her too much.

Maybe I'm just loosing my touch?!?!

It really could have gone a lot worse! Angry reaction, people thinking you're a perv, etc. But I DO understand your frustration!

Iam sorry about the disappointing result, to you. Maybe at a different angle, but it might just be that she isnt ticklish. I've had this happen.
As most on here know, my main ex gf, Jenny, wasnt ticklish at all. I dated her before I got into tickling, so it wasnt too much of a problem then. I do know from watching her family get into tickle fights when we were dating that they were all ticklish, especially her mom and her aunt, whom I saw get tickled a few times, and were both very to extremely ticklish. While the mother- daughter, sister, family tickle similarity thing can hold true, it sounds like maybe in the family of the girl you tickled it may not, and in Jenny's it didnt. Oh well, at least you got the chance. Maybe you'll have another

Seriously, I could have gave her a wedgie and probably not had any bad reaction...her brother and sister were like my own when we were growing up.
