The Problem With Chat.

Chat rooms are worthless if no one is in them. TT, if the chat room is costing you anything, I feel like your money is being wasted. It would be better served either to beef up the site, or to put some food in your fridge.

Don't get me wrong, the site is great. No where else can you get the free images or the clips or the interaction for that matter, but, in my opinion, the chatroom isn't working.

Yep....but the chatroom is already paid for a year. That's how it is sold, and there are no refunds. Ah well....

TT, I have been in the chatroom on quite a few occasions and it appears that no one is ever there. I agree whole heartedly with PG, it is such a waste of money and time to have this on the forum and no uses it.

Just a thought...

Maybe somebody can kind of host a topic of discussion. For instance, announce on Monday that there will be a chat about people's most recent experience on Wednesday at 8pm est. Anyone can come up with a topic and host (but try not to step on somebody else's hosted chat), just give a little notice so people can find out and come by. Maybe TT can place hosted chat notices on the home page... TT is there any way that lurkers can access chat? You know like a guest account? This might get more people interested in joining as well.

Now that is a good idea, nytoetapper! Why don't we get together and have a chat meeting, and see what we can come up with. Even if by some rare chance the room is occupied, we can always PM each other. Anyone who's interested, leave me a private message, and we'll all try to get together and see what we can come up with. I'd like to get the chatroom active, and keep it on the site. And how about this -- while administration is welcome to our discussion, their participation is optional. And, I'd also like to propose that someone other than an administrator be in charge of the session. While TT owns the website, and is in charge overall, it's our "club" for a lack of a better word. We don't need to have TT do everything for us. (Of course, we may want some input from administration on how to conduct a session, or some tips on governing one.) That's my input. Let's get this thing rolling!! PM me with your input.
