When J.K. Rowling started writing the first Harry Potter book, she was a single mother living in a one bedroom flat which was infested with mice. I admire her success.
PS: That should be a £ on his forehead, she lives in the UK. 😀
It's no surprise that the Harry Potter series of books has been wildly successful. J.K. Rowling's creative tales of the boy wizard capture the imagination of both children and adults. Anything that encourages kids to read (and remember, these are BIG books) is OK by me. I haven't read them, but I've seen the movies, and I can't wait for the fourth one to come out in November. BTW, the notion that these books are bad because they're about witchcraft and sorcery is B.S., and some fans DO get carried away, but look at Star Wars, Star Trek, and the like and THEIR fans. 😛
