A sonnet is a traditional English poetry form consisting of 14 lines in iambic pentameter. It is fun to write sonnets because they are expressive. A lot of people write sonnets about love. Some emos write sonnets when they are going to kill themselves.

No wait that's a shit idea. Post a limerick instead (5 lines, A-A-B-B-A rhyme scheme):
In town lived a Frenchman named Jean,
Who looked quite like Simon LeBon,
One day on the road,
He stepped on a toad,
And the toad exploded and killed him.
No wait disregard that I can do better. Ahem...
Lim'ricks are fun poems to write,
You can do them by day or by night,
But try as I could,
As I often would,
I just can't pen one worth a shite.
I'm wasted on you people. I should do like that Edward Lear bloke and make a fucking fortune writing nonsense professionally :-o.
