Since me, THE THREAD and THE POST will one day all be Superheroes and not too hijack the Daredevil Thread. I thought I would start this thread to discuss all things superhero.

In terms of old Superheros I always liked Superman.

In terms of the new guys I liked Spawn.

Iceman #1 Silver Surfer #2 Spiderman #3 Incredible Hulk #4 Proteus #5

I never really read comic books, but I liked the Maxx, the Tick, and I liked the Mystery Men, especially Mr. Furious, because he was so inept.

Yeah Maxx was cool and the Tick was always funny. I like when the Tick had Superhero school and one of the guys in his class was Sarcasto.

I remember Sarcastro! Also, there was Mr. Exciting, who acted like he was on crack. The Tick was a great show, because it joked about all the superhero stereotypes. If I remember correctly, I used to want to see American Maid get tickled after throwing her shoes at villains.

My take on some superheroes...

Spider-Man: Nice guy who got bit by a radioactive spider and became a nice guy with superpowers. 😀

Superman: Always thought it weird the dude could do anything except see through lead until he came close to a green mineral. 😛

Batman: He'd be cool if it weren't for Robin. :sowrong:

The Incredible Hulk: I've never really thought of him as a hero, but it's fun to watch him get pissed. 🙄

Of course even the mightiest of Superheros pales in comparison to Powdered Toast Man

Oh yeah, my recent favorite:

"Stand back! There's a HURRICANE comin' through!"

"WASSUP WIT dat?"

Who Else?

Underdog!!!...and Sweet Polly, who often fell into the clutches of Simon Barsinister!

The Legion Of SuperHeroes, and of course the Subsitute Legion

Martian Manhunter

The Spectre

Wolverine

That's 5.....don't want to get greedy. 😉 Q

Anybody remember the 'Blue Beetle' from the Electric Company? I thought he was hilarious.

And, um, I've always really liked Robin, if he's drawn and written properly he kicks *ss and is sexy as hell. The older serious Dude/younger smartass dude combo is heady stuff for some of us females 😉

Bella

Wolverine..

especially back when he was in madripoor and seperated from the X-men.

The Punisher.

The Maxx

Spawn

Ghost Rider

Daredevil

hhmmmm it's been a while since I was into superheros. But I was always into Batman, and still like the original Batman movie with Michael Keaton. I liked the Incredible Hulk as well, since at times I have been known to have quite the temper issues if I am really pushed to the edge on certain issues. And the last is Spiderman, yes, spiders totally freak me out *shudders* but I still think it would be totally kewl to be able to shoot out a web from my wrist😀

Batman-

I've watched just about all Batman versions and encored it all with my son's viewing of it. He's as super as a hero gets without a little help from Sun or ray or chemical or supernatural coocoo voodoo!!

'DETECTIVE' comics!

When I watch the Justice League I show my son that batman almost always figures out the solution!!! And when in battle, Batman is always the hardest one to hit or capture! Now a novice might argue that they write the storyline to keep batman from being destroyed by a super villian, but anyone who knows the Batman can tell you- He's just that good!

I haven't read in a while...heard Bane broke his back...yeah-right...
Brookln bridge for sale, suckers...

I always loved Wonder Woman. She had that rope. That was the coolest thing EVER! A gold rope to tie people up with and it had the coolest side effects! Not to mention her plane! WOW~! :wow: Don't make me scan that picture of me when I was 7 dressed up like her for Halloween!

As far as the fellas, I had this thing for the guys who liked Ice and Water.

*sigh*

But where is MOVING-HEAVY-THINGS-MAN when I need him. Damn that couch is in a bad spot! 😉

I still want to be a superhero but I think I should evolve a bit more first. I want to fight that Satan guy. He sounds pretty nasty. Do any of these other heros fight Satan?

Spawn sort of fights Satan, except he isn't exactly called Satan. I'm not exactly a comic book reader, so a Spawn fan could probably explain this better, and chastise me for even attempting to explain something I don't remember or know very well in the first place.

Bane actually did break Batman's back in the comics a few years ago. He had to struggle with wanting to come back, intense therapy and training...then had to take down Azreal, the guy he picked to be the "new" Batman. Azreal went crazy and the newly healed Dark Knight beat him down. He should have just asked Nightwing to take over...he's the best and most obvioue choice. But Batman is the best of them all...a highly skilled, very intelligent person whose drive and skills allow him to defeat foes even other more powerful heroes can't overcome.

My faves...

Batman
Wolverine
Deadpool
Namor
Luke Cage
Bishop
Gambit

Ahh, but remember, Bats wasn't exactly in the best of shape in that storyline, and unlike that crappy "Batman and Robin" version of Bane, the comic book Bane was smart, and had lots of common sense..the thing most of Gotham's criminals don't seem to have. (c'mon, even the Riddler can't find out who Batman is, and he's supposed to be a freakin genius. lol)

And let's face it, Batman is pretty obsessed with catching all those Arkam inmates and puttin them back where they belong. Bane used this to make an already ill Batman even weaker. By the time Bane faced him, ol pointy ears wasn't thinking or acting right.

All the OTHER times, though, Batman has been HIMSELF, and at the very least, a match for Bane, sometimes more than a match. I don't think Bane will be giving him too much trouble anymore, though...after No Man's Land, Bane got to rule the country he came from.I think Bane will be busy having more fun messing with the people who used to treat him like you-know-what, than to worry about Batman. lol

I doubt Batman will make the mistake he made during Knightfall, though: trying to catch ALL the criminals alone. He certainly realized he needed help in No Man's Land..got his partners to help him, the cops to help him...even got himself a militia, I think..complete with martial arts instructors, cops, etc...hey, it worked...he brought the whole city back , at least. lol
