the tickling community as a whole

with all the few tickling forums that are out there online. do you think that the tickling communtiy as a whole in of it self is more over shadowed by Men then Women? and if so then why do you feel that is? and if not then why do you feel that is?


i liked to hear your thoughts from both guys and women on this debate

I've been unable to find any Internet tickling community with a substantial female presence, despite the fact that I've known dozens of lady 'lers in real life.

Maybe most female ticklephiles don't regard tickling as important enough to justify an online presence, or perhaps they are uncomfortable with the online "fetish" community in general.

As a lifelong 'ler girl, I sometimes feel like I dropped in from another planet, but I enjoy the forum mainly because of the nice people here, despite the disconnect on tickling 🙂

I think being male, sexual desire is always much stronger, from a much younger age. Wanting to explore your fantasies physically is the most important. Seeing your desires manifested over the internet is always a strong link to this alternative dimension.

But, as females, sexual desire is hidden and they are less open to fantasies and desires, as a whole - please correct me females if I am wrong. But, they would feel less inclined to try and find some kind of link to their sexual fantasies.

There is indeed a greater percentage of men than women in our little community(s). I think all the reasons stated by Missy Val and bebinks. I'd like to add that we men are often at fault around here. I notice all too often when a female appears that the men pounce, demanding cybertickling, long chats, and generally being harassing, careless, jerks. If I were a woman, I wouldn't want to be around those crazed men either. Now, not all of us males are like this, but all it takes is a few bad apples to spoil the whole bunch.

i couldn't agree more there with you on that. this stands out more then not in the Personal section on both here and on the TMF i've notcied. once a female ticklee or female tickler types of a personal message and posts it! the guys of that forum start replying to it like wild fire (and you know who you are if your the type of person that does this to) frankly though i don't do that. because everybody needs there space at times. yeah i've replyed to females messages that were new members but i let the girl breath and take it is easy.... insted of most guys pming them right away before they even have several posts to there name

There are a lot more guys participating in the online forums than women. It's been that way since Al Gore invented the internet. :weird: I think one reason is because today's society frowns on guys who aggressively pursue women. They're thought of as either stalkers or in more extreme cases, rapists. Since nobody wants to have this undesirable astigma, they flock to the Internet which allows them such pursuits without appearing so threatening.

Another reason has to do with tickling orientation preference. It's been my experience that most of the male members of today's tickling forums are lers. It's very difficult for them because they want to find women who are a) attractive, b) agreeable to being tickled, and c) ticklish. Two out of three won't suffice in most cases, it's got to be all of the above. The chances of meeting such women in real life are slim, so once again, they flock to the internet.

Unlike women, guys don't generally require an emotional relationship in order to achieve shangri-la. Many guys are more turned on by "strange" women than those they know and love. Women, on the other hand, require an emotional relationship or at least a standing friendship before they'll consider a zesty session. Exceptions to this rule are often shunned as sluts and *****s. Double standard? Unfair? Yes to both, in my opinion.

I have noticed this tendency as well, for the most part it makes me sigh in exasperation. It's happened elsewhere, believe me, I've seen it, and I've had some females tell me so. This is, for the most part, why I tend to view the forums as a place for meeting people, and if a female (or anyone) is so inclined to wish to talk with me further, I leave my contact information. Usually I chat with people over Instant Messenger, and I find that simply offering normal, amiable conversation and treating the female in question as a person instead of an object for fulfilling a fantasy often leads to a) making rather good friends and b) females who are a lot more willing when the time comes (if it ever should come; there's nothing wrong with simply making a friend!). I can quote female friends of mine to back my case up. Bottom line, as HDS already said: if you hound a female as soon as she shows up, it's not going to endear her to you.

Bravo Jaynin, I have female friends who will also back you up with the comment you have made. I hope that somewhere along the line the fellows out there who do pounce on the women who enter the forums will get a clue and start to understnad this. Then maybe there will peaceful tickling ,joy,a nd harmony.

I've been in tickle chat rooms and witnessed first hand this phenomenon of slobbering dudes pouncing on every female that enters the room. When I challenged a couple of these guys, their attitude was like, "Well, what the hell do they (the women) expect? What the f*ck are they here for?" I tell them to try to stop thinking with their dicks for just a minute and consider that not everybody comes there for masturbatory interaction. But there is no reasoning with them. They only care about their own satisfaction. I take great delight in the knowlege that most of their "catches" will be posers.

Well, I'm pretty quiet here, I just like to read stuff most of the time, lately, I've been getting more and more vocal, but I have to say, I've never once messaged A girl (from here, or anywhere else) to do anything more than talk, but hey, I'd even talk to A guy about that kinda stuff. I just wanna talk to somebody who has the same... feelings about the subject that I do.

For example, Nessonite, (sorry to use you for an example 😀) but your A key member of this community, so I've been pretty scared to even mention you, cuz if I said somethin' weird or wrong, then the entire place might go crazy on me.

But I agree with Drew on this, most guys are dogs... they ruin guys like Drew really quickly. (And, i'd like to say me too 😀)

I hate to try and get clinical, so let me apologize for my Psych degree reering its ugly head. Statistically speaking, for the most part, men are much more prone to sexual deviation (sounds awful but that's the words the studies use) than are women. Now this goes for Serial Killers, BDSM, ticklephiles, everything. My own personal theory is that since biologically men's sex drives always seem to be cooking we are much more vulnerable to early developmental differences in our hypothalmus which causes us to be more inclined to the more fun (some would call them weird) realms of sexual pleasure.

Chameleon, I hate to say it and I know I can't speak for any woman but myself, but I tend to have a natural distrust of any man online. I know it's a horrible thing to say but it's true. I've been active online since I was 13 and in that time I have known many many many (insert 'many' 100 more times) assholes. I guess you could call it being jaded or just good common sense but as a rule I take everything almost anyone says with a grain of salt.
This is of course coming from someone who met her husband online...before it was trendy. 😛

Nessie, believe it or not, I was a very naive user when I acquired my first 'puter at age 29 (!), talking to anyone and everyone on messenger and sharing personal photos and information indiscriminately. I even used to have my real personal photo on my Yahoo profile.

Now I barely have the time to talk on messenger, since I'm busy with academic work and other projects when I'm online. I think my unavailability on IM is a blessing in disguise sometimes.

Hey Nessy,

With regard to your question, It's difficult to say. It's impossible to prove, but my gut instinct is that men may be more compelled to seek out the acting out of their sexual needs. Now this could be cuz the vast majority of guys think with their penises, (which I believe) or because the way ladies are socialized that they don't act on their desires as readily.
