I am reminded of when I had first discovered the term "foot fetish" in a random google search for "feet." I had no idea what the word meant, and I found it so intriguing. Then, those searches lead me to a website called Tickling Paradise, where I stumbled upon my first gallery of tickling photos and artwork. That's when I discovered that tickling was a "thing." My mind was completely blown! There were others out there, like I, who were utterly bonkers for tickling, and feet, and tickle fights, and laughter, and all that awesome sauce? NO WAI! My first tickle sample clip was the "superbowl" one, with the lady restrained in stocks, while her feet were relentlessly tickled. She had such a cute geeky laugh. I could hear the fingers scraping against her soles. I wanted more... more laughter, more tickling, and more goofy tickle-scenarios that would never happen to me in real life!
Then I discovered TTC. It felt like I had finally found a home.
Back then, I was on dialup, and we had only one PC that was connected to the Interwebz. I had to wake up extra early in order to have the entire living room to myself. Downloading one photo would take ages, and there was that nervousness of getting busted. At times, when the Internet PC was occupied, I would go to Internet cafes just to check out the forums. I remember spending hours just reading every post, and exchanging thoughts and ideas. Back then I had more time, of course. I remember how the official polls, which show up on the left side-bar, were updated more regularly. Those were fun to participate in.
I really don't see that this place changed all that much; it's still awesome. We still get treated to some really cool art by artists who are just sharing, and we are seeing some new artists entering the fold (I'm excited to see how these guys develop with time!) We also get awesome teasers by kickass artists who are selling their work (one day I'm going to buy ALL THE MTJ comix!!!11one.) I've only recently started hitting the chat-rooms which is something I haven't done before, and I'm loving the experiences there.
I'm glad to see TTC still going strong. This place has kept a classy, clean and friendly vibe about it for ages, and I don't see that going away any time soon. Sure, people come and go, but we all share a love for making each other laugh (even if it's by force 😛) so I don't think things could ever stray too far from the original intent of this community...
