Thank you, Max Speer, for founding this wonderful event and making this all possible.

Thank you, LeeAllure, for busting your ass to keep things organized, maintained, and safe.

Thank you, Drew and Ann, for taking so much time from your schedules in spite of personal hardships to keep everything moving on the right track and getting this thing pulled off.

Thank you, Scared, for braving the maelstrom and finding your way down here to enjoy the wonderful weekend, and bringing that adorable pup of yours, Empath.

Thank you, Snail Shell, for sharing your artistic talent, hospitality and friendliness, and making everyone near you smile and remember why we love this event so much. Oh, and for naming the reindeer in the proper order (without Rudolph).

Thank you, Andy, for not only being about the nicest guy I have ever known, paying for breakfast this morning and letting me crash in your extra bed at the hotel, but for always being so fucking nice about it. Your kindness is a rarity and a gem, and we're all very appreciative for it.

Thank you, JonMath and KittenToes, for being such awesome company, for pep talking some of us when we're down, for orchestrating certain intense tickle scenes, for being such great sports about your own exhibitionist demonstrations, and for being so fucking hot. :-D

Thank you, Minerva, for coming ALL TEH WAY FROM FREAKING AUSTRIA to attend and enjoy the event! That's a hell of a trip and you, my dear, are a shining example of this event's success.

Thank you, Jamie, for being such a damn good ler! IrishGirl has some nasty bruises on her, but she loves it!

Thank you, IrishGirl, for satisfying so many of us of our tickle-needs! You're a hottie and you bring a light to the event that so many are grateful for.

There are so many others to thank, so many to be grateful for, and tears are in my eyes as I type this, so I need to take a break to collect myself and think of everyone else to shout out to in this thread.

Thanks to all who I didn't mention and haven't been added to this post yet!!! I will be editing this over the next few hours as I think of everyone.

DUDE, over a hundred people! THIS THING IS BIGGER EVERY YEAR!! :couch: :couch: :couch:

You said it all Viper, and much better then i did.😀

Amen to that!

Can't say thank you enough to all who make NEST possible...thanks!!!

And thank --you-- Mark! Melinda and I are truly happy and honored when another crew (such as yourself), can come in and join, add to this growing bunch of festivities.

Sometimes indeed, we are almost left wordless. Yes, I'll have more, but we are crashing this evening from it all.

Spenser (yet another, most magnificent and indescribable NEST come by)

I must thank Max, Lee, Ann and ALL the organizer for the unbelieavable event that NEST is.
I already spent all the words that I have last year and this one was way beyond. All your hard work in getting such a gathering a reality was evident in every single detail and let the sense of fellowship, friendship and goodwill explode at their best. I can only say thank you and treasure the new and reinforced old friendships that came out from the gathering.

This NEST has not only be like a dream but it turned out to be very important to me.

I'm the happiest guy in the world.
And you guys played an important role.

Now, I just need to rebudget my travel expenses for the time to come! 😛

I hope I don't miss anyone, but I have a bad feeling I will 🙁. But here goes! In alphabetical order:

Affectionate Dan & Ayla NY: Thank you both for taking me under your wing this weekend and chatting with me. Thanks also for hosting the massage seminar.

Alyson: Thank you for being one of my best friends ever. Thanks for giving NEST a try. Thanks for your INCREDIBLE endurance. Thanks for the company on the long car ride. Thanks for helping be the focal point of the Order of the Sandwich.

ASUtickler: Thanks for a lot, man--we all had a lot of fun hanging out. In particular, thanks for being such a good friend to me and Alyson. The order of the Sandwich should confer upon you its highest honors.

Azrael: Dude, this was great. Those late-night convos were fun. As was your particular conrtibutions to the Order of the Sandwich. We need to keep in touch, man.

Barefeetarebest & Lisa: Thanks for showing up as a fun couple. In particular, thanks Lisa for giving this crazy thing a try 🙂.

Bella: My God, thanks for... Everything with a capital E. Thanks for hosting the NEST Newbians chat, thanks for making me feel welcome from the moment I stepped in the hotel (more on that experience later), thanks for giving me so much advice on how to have fun, and thanks for helping straigthen out various issues and situations. You rock!

Classy and husband: Thanks for being good sports. Thanks for giving hte TMF a try. Thanks for letting me briefly tickle the newest 'mystery laugher.' And thanks in advance for not being mad that I can't remember Mr. Classy's screenname 🙁.
Chaneda: Dude... you freakin' ROCK. I now know the miracle of the hitachi. Thanks for being a fine fellow and hanging out with us so much.

Drew and Ann: Thanks for being very kind, friendly, and funny people. As I often say, you two are among the first people in CT that I never met 😀
IvoryTickler: Thanks for coming by so often and putting up with the zaniness that always happened for poker nights 🙂.

James Bond: You deserve an entire posts' worth of thanks. In a brief nutshell: Thanks for poker nights. Thanks for coordinating everything, from the greeting lunch all the way through to the ending departure. Thanks for being a friend.

Jane: Thanks for giving NEST a try . Thanks for being one of the most INSANEly ticklish people I've ever met. Thanks also for not kicking me in the groin, despite your apparent best efforts to the contrary. 😀.

Jonmath & Kittentoes: Thanks for hosting three excellent seminars that I attended: One for explaining how to relate to couples, one on bondage 101, and one where Kitten was practically demolished in a tickle exhibition. Thanks also for taking the lead in Irish's kidnapping scenario and educating us on the miracle power of a delightfully over-wrought Russian accent. Dos vidania, kommendant!

Kwildoctor and Lite: Thank you both for being two of the sweetest, kindest, friendliest people I've ever met! This despite the fact that Lite is no fun and is not ticklish. (the reason she laughs so much is because people always tell her very funny jokes in morse code using their fingers).

LeeAllure: Thanks for organizing this whole shindig!

Minerva: Thank you for coming across a continent and an ocean just to be with us. 🙂. Thanks also for a great tickle session 😉.

Ray and Tracy: Thanks for providing much needed laughs, both voluntary and involuntary. In particular, thanks for being the other first people I never met 😀.

RChello: Thanks for leading by example. Namely, teaching me to shout of the brotherhood's inherent superiority despite my being set upon by five DEVESTATING women at the same time.

Spenser: Thank you for several very interesting conversations. And please also thankt he missus for massage advice--and again for not being mad at me for forgetting screennames 🙁.
TickleChicago: Thanks both for the mentoring, and asking me to take part in Irish's kidnapping. That was rather fun.

TickledtoDeath & Shygirl: Thanks to Shygirl both for letting me get her while in that.... swing thing, as well as thoroughly wrecking me while I was in the vertical stocks . Thanks, TTD, for being as cool in person as you are in your clips. Thanks also for reminding me that I'm not the only Mets fan 😉

TickleJen: Thank you for being completely sweet, kind, and a wonderful conversationalist. As well as being the first girl I tickled at NEST 🙂.

ViperGTS & Irishgirl5: Thanks both of you for coming again. Viper, thanks for helping me avoid a mistake that could have been embarassing . Thanks both for being a good sport and having fun in the kidnapping scenario. Thanks in general for being cool in general. Especially at the pool party. Even though Irish did betray us in the game of keep-the-ball-in-the-air. I just know you were a spy for the water ;-).

I think that's everyone. But if not, thwap me and I'll include you properly.

Thanks to everyone for making this one of the best weekends I've ever had in my entire life!!!!!!!!!!

Many many thanks!!

Thank you, Viper for helping us find the place🙂 Next year we will have to hang more, okay?

Thank you to Everyone responsible for the things that may have gotten a mention but went for the most part overlooked.... Great food, free beer, welcoming helpful club and hotel staff, equipment set-up folks, unquestioning "vanilla's", everyone who gave a presentation/course for our enrichment

Max, Lee, Ann, Drew, Bella, Ray, Jeff-- everyone involved in planning, arranging, and executing every aspect of what was the best time I've ever had-- This weekend BLEW ME AWAY!!!! :bowing:

Thank you to Venray and The Mrs. for being such proponents of our attending NEST this year and facilitating the stumbling blocks I ran into along the way! And for being the super ambassadors that you are!

Jaime we will hook up again, but you were a hell of an icebreaker, coaxing both of us out of our shells almost immediately Friday night.

I had to echo and add to all these thoughts that were running through my mind last night after we picked up our daughter and began our trip home. So many were swirling around that if I began right now I would be remiss so when I am able to digest everything and regain clarity I will revisit this thread and thank everyone properly. This has been a truly awakening experience for both of us, it is like finding religion. I have never met so many wonderful people at one time who were all so warm and welcoming. I think we made many life-long friends over the weekend and I wish to show gratitude to everyone who helped me "convert" Lisa!! This has made her realize we both can have a kink and act it out with other couples who have the same kink, and still lead normal lives. How can I ever repay you?
To anyone who we may have missed talking to/ playing with just due to circumstances..... I hope to enjoy your company next year.

Oh yeah, that reminds me, does anyone know a minister or Justice of the Peace b/c Lisa and I came up with this crazy idea to get married at the next NEST, among our "new family" as opposed to our biological families..... I always knew if we ever got married it wouldn't be a "normal" wedding....

any thoughts?

Appreciate that a lot Avenger. No problem at all.

And a HUGE thanks to everyone who made it all possible. It was great for my first gathering.

I too join in the many thanks to whose who made NEST happen.

I totally subscribe. James Bond, you did an incredible job from the first to the very last minute. The poker nights had the feeling of an old-time regular friends' night hangout rather than a first approach to a gathering from first-timers. Thanks to Chaneda for letting us messing up with hos room as well!

MrTicklee

You, sir, truly deserve an award or plaque for tickle-torture endurance, my friend!! Had I undergone the foot-workout you were given I think I would have been broken!! I thoroughly enjoyed observing your experience and watched in awe!!! I quietly slinked away before the thought consumed me to ask your 'ler if I could have a turn being tortured in that way, but there is always next year!!

Actually, isn't The Reverend James actually ordained by some stretch of the imagination or another, or is that just an inside joke?

My thanks go out as well to all the organizers and participants of NEST 2007! It was incredible beyond description. A better and more fun bunch of people, one could not ask for!

Actually he's ordained by me 😉 I founded a church years ago called the World Ministry of Laughter, and at my first NEST I ordained everyone. 😎

Jesus, I think there might almost be more NEST threads than Paris Hilton threads.

Insane.

Well here go my thanks. I know I'm going to forget people so I'll just come back and add to this post as I remember.

ASU - Well I'm glad your Paul Bunyon ass found your way to NEST. It was great meeting you and kicking your ass in arm wrestling.

TickleChgo- Getting there was horrendous, but having you there took the edge off just a bit. Thanks for breakfast. It was great seeing you again, and hopefully it's not another year before we hang out.

Max- The hard work you put into this really paid off. The venue was unbelievable and the turnout was awesome. You're the best. Hope to see you again soon.

Lee- How does one person get so much done? Despite not sleeping or eating much that weekend, your dedication did not go unappreciated. You rock. I hope you went home and got some sleep though.

Ann and Drew- Again, thanks. With all the things going on in your lives, it's truly phenomenal how much you two put into this. You two deserve a big pat on the back for that.

MTPJeff- You're a good guy and I really like you.

DVNC- It was amazing finally getting to meet you. You're a blast to hang out with. PS. Has anyone ever told you that you look like Wolverine?

EDIT

======================

Bella- Thanks for being so helpful and organizing the newbie discussion and chats. They were really helpful, even for someone that's already been to NEST once before.

Alchemy- It sucked that you couldn't do much because of how you were feeling, but you made a lot of people happy by showing up. I hope you feel better soon and come back again next year.

IrishGirl and Viper - You two rock. Thanks for hanging out and showing me a good time. Hopefully we can hang out more next time.

Avenger - It was awesome to finally meet you. You were really friendly and outgoing and I hope to see you again in the future.

James_Bond- Thanks for the chocolate pizza. I still have most of it, but it is delicious.

Italian_Touch- Buon giorno! Era buono per vederla. Tu è realmente buffo. Io spero di ridere con tu nel futuro.

AffectionateDan - You're the greatest. Thanks for the hugs.

Venray and Venraya - I missed you so much since last time. It was good to see you and hopefully it won't be another year before we hang out again.

Jonmath and KittenToes- Thanks for the bag. I like it a lot. Great job with the demonstration and I have to say, part of the reason I keep coming back to NEST is just to see what you guys are going to wear.

Amnesiac- It was good to meet you, "failure" (jk). Hope you continue to go to NEST. Thanks for the DVDs.

That's all for now...

And thank you for playing cards. We needed all the fresh "meat" we could get. Sandwich pun intended.

barefeetarebest,
Sure! I think we should be able to "fit" that into the Program. What a way to celebrate!

These are frequently called "scene" weddings in alternative communities. We know one couple who had a normal 'mundane' vanilla wedding for their regular biological family, then had a "scene" wedding which was attended by about 50 of their closest and kinkiest friends, and it was a HOOT!

We also know of another couple who had a 'handfasting' (ancient trial marriage to last for a 'year and a day', held at a large fetish con, but they found out they could only wait about six months, and announced their real wedding last week.

You and Lisa could join an elite group of folks who'd found each other in this unique tickling community!

Spenser

What a way to celebrate!

Thank you everyone!

Thank you to everyone for your support and continued friendship during the weekend. Sorry I wasn't able to play and interact very much, but felt like shit a lot of the time. If it weren't for you guys (and gals) I wouldn't have made it through. All the help and kindness was/is much appreciated. It was fun regardless of how I felt and is now another good memory for me. I already miss you all!

Actually there are an awful lot of little bits of memories that will keep creeping back into NEST folks consciouses over the next several months.
NEST could be considered as an almost personally changing experience for many, in that unusual way of such a profound and yet honestly and genuinely warm way that few experiences we ever get to have become.

At the breakfast buffet at the hotel (before the bigger group buffet that I see Andy bought! We --should-- have stayed for that !), Snail Shell and I were talking about names and people.

He mentioned the difficulty about remembering all the names. I agreed, but added that over the years, I've gotten to know and recognize people/names/faces/smiles immediately on seeing them. I've sort of got a core of folks we've known for the 9 years we've been coming (we missed the first and 2005, but got to all the rest). Plus I've got just about all the folks who we've recognized from the last 4 or 5 years.

Then each year I try to add a few additional names-and-faces to my memory store.

Then I think; these folks/us, are truly more than merely names and faces (and smiles and grins), they are truly honest souls with whom we do have an immediate and personal connection, an affinity sort of like heart and blood and soul.

They don't teach this stuff in school. We've had to make it up all as we go along, and ain't it great. We've created such a beautiful and precious monster!

Thank you Max, for bringing your dream into this incredible reality.

Spenser
(hoping to sneak in a couple of mini-parties locally 'tween now and the next NEST.. ... we --will-- keep everyone posted)

Viper you summed it up very well. I enjoyed seeing people who I've seen before and meeting new people, especially you Avenger. I appreciate you thanking me as well. I am so glad you enjoyed meeting me as well. You are a sweet guy.

Also, I would not only like to thank the organizers of NEST like Lee, Ray and Max but I also want to thank everyone (including myself lol) for attending this awesome event!

:bump:

I also want to thank Ann & Drew who from what I understand also helped organized NEST. I think that's accurate. Hope your lives become less stressful in the near future.
