I made two versions of this picture. The original was set during a sunset. Then I wanted to see how it would look with day-time lighting. I liked them both enough that I decided to post them both.

Hehe, been busy the last few days. I haven't done this in so long...

Great work, man! I like the alternate approaches here, I've done that a couple of times (even once in a publication) because I liked both versions so much that I couldn't bear to part with one of them.

Are you using Bryce for the background, Tree props, or are these mapped background plates? Just curious.

Excellent work as always. 😎

Using Vue, actually, by e-on software. It's similar to bryce, but signigicantly more powerful. It has an Import utility that allows you to directly import files from Poser, complete with textures, which is pretty handy even if you're not going to make and outdoorsy kind of scene. The rendering engine is so much more powerful. You can render pictures with far better detail in a short time in Vue than in Poser. The material editor for the program is great, as well.
