I figured I'd post this before people start having to ask. As it so often does, life has gotten in the way of my working on our new site. Rest assured, there ARE updates in the works. I just got myself busy with another project around the house. I should be able to get back to work on the site in another week or so. In the meantime, if you have questions, comments, suggestions or whatever, feel free to pass them along.

....are you aware that your site is chucking out a nasty virus? its just taken me two hours to get shut of it.

Red.... Are you sure it came from our site? I scan everything before using it. So, unless we've been hacked or something, everything should be clean. Please let me know the details of what you experienced...either here or via e-mail or PM. If there IS something there, I want to be able to do something about it.

Hi Ann.........

...its one of those things that infests your tool bar with all kinds of crap. As soon as I clicked on your site logo Norton flagged up a "low risk" warning, i stupidly accepted it and BAM!! there it was, crawling all over my tool bar. It was listed as "Your sites" or something like that.

So I got to work with various things like "Ad Aware" and "Trend House call" and it seems to have gone, I think.

Hmmmm....OK. Wonder where the hell that came from. I'll pull the site and re-scan everything before putting it back up so nobody else gets hit. Thanks for letting me know.

Hey Ann

I did receive the same warning with F-Secure. I believe your host was generating ads/popups which included the exploit files. My warning occured immediately after accessing the site upon the launch of a popup ad of some sort. I believe this is an issue with your host. They may not even realize one of their ads contains the bugger.

Thanks,TD. I checked through everything. None of the files I had up showed anything. So, you may be correct about it being from the host...though there aren't supposed to be popups or any of that. I'll drop them a note and see what they have to say about it.

I have more information for you Ann,

I just went to your CLOSED site because I had a hunch the problem would still be there... yep, it is..

I little window pops up in an almost closed state:

upon opening the window, this is the source... looks like a browser hijack

So this should give you more information for your host.

Well....no luck getting a response from the host. So, I'm looking for a new spot for the site. 🙂rolleyes: Gee, that didn't take long. ) Anyway, the site is now down and will stay that way for a bit. I'm going to put a scaled down version back on my own ISP space in the interrum. But, it won't have much d/t the rules of the ISP. We'll be back at the old addy sometime later today or tomorrow. http://home.comcast.net/~tklduo/ThinkTank.html Then, I'll switch it again when we find something that will work. I may have to break down and go against my promise to myself that I wouldn't pay for space. We'll see.

Latest news.....

We've found a new home for the site. I should have things back up and running sometime next week. I'll post the link here as soon as I do. In the meantime, for those who wanted to spend their entire weekend surfing our links, I popped them into my ISP space for a few days. None of the internal links work since it's from the pulled site. But, you can still go to the listed links.
