Thinking about forming a Munch in NJ

One of my resolutions for this year is to meet more people into tickling. After numerous suggestions, some friends asked me to hold a munch. I know I'm not so known in this community or the others but I would just like to get a chance to meet new people also. So I ask this forum, is there anyone in the NJ area who would like to meet if I form a munch. I will be looking into venues around New Brunswick, spots close to the train station for easy access. If it get enough interested people, I won't have a problem setting it up.

Good luck with this. I set up 2 munches in NJ in the past year. The first one had a good turn out, but the second one had no NJ people show up.

I would also suggest being careful with New Brunswick because it can be very pricey. Off the top of my head, Old Man Rafferty's is somewhat reasonable and very close to the station.

Yeah, I was at the first one music, i'd have like to have gone to the second but the car was in the shop, and unable to attend since it was up north.

No one volunteers the Yeti but the Yeti. 😛 That said Nyte, I was intrigued by the sketch session with live model you'd put together before, and I wish you luck with a Jersey munch. I know there are some Jersey folks out there, ya' just gotta' organize 'em.

I think it's better to have the munch and have everyone meet and have the opportunity to get comfortable with each other first. Patience is indeed a virtue.

I appreciate the replies, and Cap, good to hear from you again, I'm still holding the sessions, along with other art related events to make my sessions go smoother, I'm taking a pause from it in May cause it just got too hectic. So I thought I'd give this a try. Thanks Steve and Knox and FireGaurdian for showing interest. I should have the info between Saturday and Sunday. I'll keep you posted.

I'd be open, if it's held at a site close to NJ Transit at a time when I'm in New York.

I would also add, speaking as one who has been to a number of munches and even organized a few, that, while play parties have their merits, so do munches in their own right. Especially when you're new to an area, it's as important to have people you can talk to, as people you can tickle.

depends really which third of NJ you plan on hosting in. There are areas I wouldn't even bother with, and areas where I could be right around the corner
