Christina Taylor Green the 9 year old girl killed yesterday in the AZ shotting was the Granddaughter of the Phillies Manger of the 1980 team and General Manager lost his beloved grand daughter yesterday to a senseless shotting.

Born on 9/11/01 and killed 1/08/11 was born and lost on 2 sad day in are Country history and helps us to put sports in it's place in our lives.
 
Amen, Deuce. I feel just terrible for Dallas and his family. What a tragic event!

You mentioned how such a horrible event helps us put sports in its place in our lives. When I was younger, if I got angry about a sports person messing up, or my favorite team losing a game, my father would always say to me : "Mitch, these guys are human beings, they aren't machines". Extremely true.

My thoughts and prayers are with Dallas and his family.
