Hmm now this thread has thrown me, as having seen Maiden and 'tallica live several times, I love both bands. Both bands have produced excellent tracks and some not so good.

I think that I may have to go with 'tallica just their pure energy on stage is mindblowing, I really love that. Perhaps I had better see Maiden again soon as it was a few years ago that I saw them.

They are both great live and yep like I've said I've been there in the audience all sweaty and screaming my lungs out watching them both.

Screw that, The only reason Metallica is the way that they are now Is because they got sober, They wrote so much better when they were shit faced. Hetfield can wail sober or not, I will not dog on Maiden, Aces High is a personal favorite.. But Metallicas music was powerful, and carried a lot of meaning with it.
