I just lost my job that I hadn't even started at! My credit was too bad. I am not making that shit up, my credit was too bad! I'm turning 22 in five days and I don't work. Yes, I have a job I don't go to and get paid for it, but that sucks too! (I am on medical leave from that one). Christ, everything is turning up shitty! (Rant, rant, rant)

Believe it or not, garaveyard security at the mall. Yeah I know i'll find another job, but it still sucks royally.

I would bet it's because of the opportunity that position has for graft. If a guy's in bad financial straits he's seen as more likely to be vulnerable to it. A guy working security at the mall has access to the shops, especially on the midnight shift. (Keys to enter stores to check alarms, etc.)

Hey, even apartment managers/landlords are requiring decent credit before they will rent to you. More employers are doing credit checks too.

Aachen1983, you're only 22, you'd better make it a priority to get your credit cleaned up. BK's stay on your credit record for 10 years.

Chapter 7's reside in public records for 20 years from the date of discharge.

My bad credit is due to when my friend and I were goingto get an apartment together. His credit was bad at the time (this was 2 years ago) but mine was decent, so we put the lease in my name. He lost his job RIGHT when we sign, so bye apartment. But guess who's credit it went on for a broken lease? Yup, me. So I need to get a job in order to pay that off.
