We're in central CT. We generally start planting towards the end of April. This year, we waited a bit before we got most of our stuff in. Since then, we've had a month of cold and rain. Very little is coming up. Is the weather doing a number on anyone else's gardens?

Yup...

I cut way back this year since apparently spring has been cancelled..lol. Peonies are doing incredibly well, some varieties of coreopsis seem to love this weather, some hate it and are sulking a few inches above the ground. Rhodos are loving it, evergreens don't care (as usual) and flowering items are suffering. Honeysuckle is pouting and refusing to bloom, wysteria is just now getting it together, and even my giant seedum are balking at medium height!

Forget veggies this year. Gonna be lucky to get some berries and fresh lawn to grow...sheesh.

I experimented with a few new areas but I'm not hopeful due to these cold nights. Guess next year will tell the story. Still, it's fun trying....

On the bad side I still have about 10 more yards of mulch to spread, and it's raining...again/still/forever...

Not much happened to the garden, but it almost killed my favorite tree!!! Now all its branches are dead.....sniff....I hope it lives. Seems my plants liked it though, all grew quite well.

I haven't even had a chance to plant a garden of flowers or veggies this year as I only have the weekend and the weekends have been so lovely (not)...I don't mind a little rain now and then, the gardens need a little bit of water now and then but this is f**king ridiculous already!!!!

Jpie...not very dry

2 more days of rain on the way. Flood warnings. Sigh...byebye grass seed...again. Q

I hate....and I mean HATE this damned weather! I've had my paint for over a month and had a whole day and a half to do any painting. The garden is pretty much a mud pit. And it's raining AGAIN!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! :Grrr: :Grrr: :Grrr:

Go half way between the two and I'll be satisfied. I guess it's good for filling up the resevoirs before it gets too hot and dry, though.
