I don't imagine that this thread will last long in the public eye, but I hope a producer or two see it.
I am a regular purchaser of video clips, and while I cant vouch for how the rest of the market does business, I thought I would let you know how I select them so that you might be able to net more of my (and others) business.
PREVIEWS:
When I am looking to spend my hard earned cash on a video clip, I want to get exactly what I want. Gone are the days when I would spend 45 dollars on a VHS video with only a cover image to judge the enjoyment level by. Preview clips, whether posted here in the TMF or in a link by the video site, are absolutely critical.
IMAGERY:
The picture you post next to your clip description matters. One of my favorite producers makes the (in my opinion) mistake of posting model-photo-shoot images next to the clip... they are breathtaking, but give me no clue if the model is ticklish, how she reacts, or what is done to her throughout the video. Take the extra 2 minutes to select the right freeze-frame to sell your product.
DESCRIPTION:
Enough cannot be said about the value of the right keywords. If your store has 30 pages of clips, I am not going to pour over them to see what I want- Clips4Sale has the handy "Search Keyword" item. Example: I have a particular affinity for pale skinned redheads being tickled. Some of my favorite clips went nearly undiscovered because I type in "redhead" or "pale" and turn up no results, when the hottest redheaded ticklee I have ever seen is on page 8 of your store. Use the words we will search, please! Examples: Hogtie, spreadeagle, any body part, any tool used, beg, gag, etc etc etc... you went through the effort of making the clip, now sell, really sell it.
MODEL NAMES:
When I find a ticklee I like, I want more. "The cute blonde" doesn't help me search the site for other clips she has been in. Tell us her 'stage-name' or whatever she uses, but post it in the clip.
This is not intended as a rant- I am trying to help anyone who reads this thread deliver their product more effectively. They win because they get more of my money, 10-25 dollars at a time, and I win because I get more of the quality videos you are making.
I wish you all- we are truly at the zenith of tickling media, and I hope we stay there for a long, long time.
