Thoughts on people’s “ticklishness”

Anyone ever notice that some and/or most people are more ticklish around certain people? Like a close friend, S/O, family member vs a stranger, someone they hardly know, and/or someone they’re not fond of? Just curious.

The one most ticklish person I ever tickled thus far was a gospel preacher. She was in hysterics by the time I was done and told me she laughed so hard she overslept. For comparison, her palms I'd say were as ticklish as someone's armpits.

Yes. I can say for certain, one is welcomed and even if torturous, playful and fun. The other, for me, definitely isn’t. A touch from a stranger is invasive and unwelcome.

Yes, social and interpersonal dynamics affect brain chemistry, and brain chemistry state is a major part of ticklishness. I am definitely more ticklish around certain women and much less around others. Their mood at the time can also play into mine, which changes things as well. It's fascinating to observe how different women affect me. As long as I get to know them enough and trust them, I'm okay being tickled by a relatively new woman, and I'm much more likely to be more ticklish. Though, similar to what @4Pawz said, if it's a total stranger or something similar, I'm more likely to not really be ticklish and instead be in fight or defend mode.

Makes sense. I was giving a girl I liked a massage many years ago(back rub) and I asked her if she has any tickle spots. She said she wasn’t ticklish. Eventually I got a quick side poke which made her jump. I could tell she wasn’t into me or anything which could have affected that. That or not wanting to be tickled by someone she’s not super close with or into, played a factor. I’ve also known girls to be very ticklish all the time no matter what. As well as girls who are ticklish but it depends on if she knows the person tickling her.

My wife is very ticklish. She can’t hold back her laughter when I tickle her. However she has told me that when guys at work tickle her she will eventually laugh but doesn’t feel the urge to laugh right away. She once was able to ignore the attempted tickles for two minutes.

When I touch her feet she gets squirmy and smiles. When I tickle her feet she immediately laughs. However she has never seen once laughed while getting a pedicure. (She has admitted that there a couple of close calls.)

I’ve tickled probably 200 folks consensually over the 5 or so years of being out with my fetish. Either unpaid/platonically (probably 5-10), paid session wise between foot parties and non parties (around 30), and somewhere around 120 while filming my content.

There are some who are seemingly ticklish no matter their familiarity with the tickler, but sensitivity absolutely increases the safer they feel with the person tickling them.

One’s approach, environment, demeanor, and intentions matter.
