Three great baseball songs

IMHO, there are many good baseball songs, but only three great ones:

Take Me Out To The Ballgame. Most know the chorus, few know the verses (or even that there are verses). Carly Simon sings the whole thing.

Centerfield, by John Fogerty. One of the great stadium anthems, but only for one sport. Put me in, Coach!

Van Lingle Mungo, by Dave Frishberg. Slow jazz piano and names, just names of ballplayers of Frishberg's youth. Heinie Majeski, Johnny Gee, Eddie Joost, Johnny Pesky, Thornton Lee, Danny Gardella, Van Lingle Mungo ...

Take Me Out To The Ballgame and Carly Simon. You can't go wrong pairing two American classics. 😀

Never heard the other two but I'll check them out.

When I first heard "Van Lingle Mungo" my first thought was that similar songs should be created for other eras in baseball, but, as far as I know, nobody has done it.
