To split hairs a little, as I have a patched-together version of the entire short on VHS, made by editing together a couple of censored/incomplete copies of it, and although I haven't watched it for awhile, without checking it right this moment, if you mean literally that they pulled up the stakes, etc., I don't think that's quite accurate (in fact, "false memory syndrome" is a well-known phenomenon

But as I recall it, having seen it relatively recently, one of them (I can't remember for sure which one, but I think it was Moe) managed to undo the bonds from his hands moments after the monster had scared the girls off, then used a pocket knife to cut the bonds from the hands of the other two, freeing them (with some difficulty, while commenting "This knife wouldn't cut cheese"), they then quickly slipped their shoes on and ran to the ship -- without pulling up the stakes and not with one foot bare.
This clip has been posted here before, BTW, along with at least one or two others from other stooges shorts. Try doing a forum search for 'stooges'. Although I first found this particular clip at a yahoo tickling group some 2 and a half years ago or more. I can't recall which group now though.
I've also found a site which claims to have all the original stooges shorts (along with a lot of other old TV shows) downloadable as MGEG files. They don't specifcally say one way or another whether they're all complete and uncensored, although it may be at least implied that all the programs they sell there are the original complete programs. I've done no business with the company, and I know nothing of its reputation (if it even has one), but at $2 per downloadable episode, it's not much money to risk. If anyone wants to check it out, I'll try to find the link to the site again if it still exists.
