Tickle-induced Hypnosis

I have been wanting to post this for a while, and hopefully I can get feedback or even better, some potential explanations.
I am really not too knowledgeable about what hypnosis 'is', or even if it is actually real, but when I am tickled a certain way, it can put me in into a semi-hypnotic state, like a trance. The 'tickling' is not overly laughter inducing, but more like long soft/slow stroking up and down my sides.
(that is one of my most sensitive places, and it still really tickles regardless how soft 🙂 ) not to the point of laughing, but like broken giggles every few seconds.
... Anyway,.. if that is done to me non-stop for about 3-5 minutes, it causes me to get very aroused, and also a very spacey/detached state of mind.
My ex bf from highschool and i were chilling out at the nearby park after class, and by then he already knew that I loved being tickled <3 but instead of ticking-attacking me, he decided to "test me" to see how slow he could tickle me, and still be able to make me laugh. I was laying down next to him, and he ran his fingers down the length of my side, which made me shiver and blush a bit, then he said "woah!" (Like all surprised). He told me when he did that, my eyes instantly dilated, and looked a little glassy. I was just confused, and thought he was just seeing things. (But no, we were not doing any drugs.)
A minute later, we were laying in the grass, looking at clouds, and he just kept stoking me really softly. I guess he just gave up on testing me....aw :/
While he did that, I kept dazing off, like my eyes half closed, and i was just staring up at the sky. It was like 2:30 pm, and I didn't feel like i was tired. He would say things to me, but i would always miss most of the words he said.

I was awake, but was completely zoning in and out. As we were talking he said my responses were becoming really slow, quieter and it looked like I was high on something (I wasn't lol, don't worry.) I didn't care too much about it at the time, but when we got up and I got really dizzy. And not just the feeling you get if you stand up too fast after resting, it lasted the whole walk back to the School building. My eyes were still dilated, and I was in a loopy daze. other than dizziness, i barely remember what happened during the walk back. Thankfully, It wore off after about ten minutes.

When I realized how different i felt after, is when I became worried something was wrong with me. But just to be sure I knew what caused it, a few days later he came over to my house. And he did it again to me ; long soft stroking all along my body...I totally loved it 🙂 But the same thing happened, and I barely realized it until he told me. Dilated eyes, slow responses/reaction time, dazing off into nothingness, loopyiness/ dizziness when moving around lasting for about ten minutes or so afterward. It was like the same exact thing - twice. That weirded the hell out of me, but at least I know it was caused from that and not some condition.

He (ex highschool bf) was they first person who realized this happens to me, because I would never have known I was acting so differently until he said something.
After the second time, He claimed to have hypnotized me, but idk about that. I have never been hypnotized, nor fully believe it is a 100% real thing.
I mean, liked liked how it felt, and even after when I get dizzy and zone out, it is not 'bad thing'. well, not unbearable at least, just annoying. I don't really have any strong feelings one way or the other. (Good or bad) just strange. Idk about this for sure, but i don't think a person can be hypnotized this way, so it doesn't make a lot of sense. But this seemed like an 'accidental' side effect from stroking/ticking that should not have happened. And I only ever feel like that when lightly tickled a certain way.

I have My own theory; i think that while having my most sensitive areas stroked like that, it probably just caused me to become me wayyy more aroused than I thought it would. For me, being tickled basically anywhere, hard or soft - even if just for a few seconds can greatly turn me on, so I am concluding that doing that so may have just overloaded my nerve endings.
* Then again, I have seen a type of hypnosis technique using "scripts", where the person just reads a specially worded page of text, and it puts them in a hypnotic trance. So if reading words can do that, maybe ticking can. It is both a sexy and frightening thought.

I really hope that its not some form of accidental hypnosis, because that's very scary if it is just that easy to do to me. But Idk what else it could be tho.... Maybe my blood pressure gets too low/high only in a certain situation??
The best I came up with was i got "really horny", it sounds lame but tickling does have a powerful affect on me. My bf at the time did not understand how it could have overloaded me, because he didn't have a tickling fetish.
** Just to stay on the safe side, What are the symptoms of being hypnotized anyway? And could it happen by accident?

( I obviously haven't thought about this incident for a while, but I saw something while websurfing earlier and it reminded me: for whatever reason, slow & prolonged tickles really mess with me. )

Similar thing happens to me with the super slow and light / soft tickles anywhere on my upperbody really, but especially on shoulders / back / sides. I just like zone out and get kinda sleepy, but it feels hella good.

Wow, yay I'm not alone 🙂 lol, I agree it feels amazing <3 🙂

It never felt like it was an uncommon thing to me so I was surprised you didn't get more replies. Lol guess it's just us. I'm OK with it.lol

Yeah, the thing about this forum is, it's so huge! The hypnosis thing has been covered before... as is everything else... haha...

Anyway...

Yes, I've tried this (I'm a switch) It just left me incredibly relaxed is all.

Are you sure you've read the entire op and replies? I've seen a lot of posts on hypnosis in general as well as hypnosis to induce immobility or heightened sensitivity, but we weren't talking about that here. "Hypnosis" and "trance" were just words used to describe the feelings brought on by light tickling and while I'm not able to pay attention to every thread here, I can't remember this exact topic brought up in this manner since I've been a member. Though, really, if it has, who gives a damn?

ASMR perhaps?

I wonder if the response you are describing might be linked to ASMR--from wikipedia:
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a neologism for a perceptual phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or cognitive stimuli. The nature and classification of the ASMR phenomenon is controversial,[1] with strong anecdotal evidence to support the phenomenon but little or no scientific explanation or verified data.[2]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonomous_sensory_meridian_response

There has been quite a bit of mainstream coverage of this phenomena and some serious research is being pursued. Some of this relates to auditory responses (Bob Ross' PBS painting series has been mentioned here in relation to how the light, scratchy sound of his brush on the canvas triggers this response for these folks), but also some serious scientific hypothesizing around how this may relate to how primates have long had the habit of grooming each other and that this promotes a feeling of well-being, social bonding, etc., and that ridding each other of bugs was not really to point so much as providing each other with light pleasurable touches.

Tactile ASMR tends to focus on light tracing touches that can cause "brain tingles" or what has often been referred to as "brain orgasms" thought most clinicians also quickly claim that it's not really sexual.

But it is for me..and I do think this line of inquiry has some interesting ties into why some of us feel drawn to these sensory experiences. Maybe its evolutionary and in our genes to want to be touched like this. There's something animal going on here, even if this doesn't fully explain what it is…but science is now focussing on solving at least a part of this puzzle. Go science!

Yeah I was thinking ASMR too but didn't know it referred to tactile stimuli as well. I was under the impression it was just an audio/visual thing. Very cool and thanks for the info.

Yes, you've caught me. I tend to skim when I read.

Please continue...

Yeah, that's a little confusing for me too. I'm fuzzy on how the tactile association (tracing fingertips, etc.) and the aural/visual association (whispers, sounds of turning pages, etc.) conflate. I identify with the former and not with the latter. Here's a medical-ish article on the subject that tracks it back to non human primate grooming, etc.

ASMR huh? Interesting... That sounds similar to what happens. When I am tickled like this, it seems to put me in a very dazed state. I only used the hypnotic comparison because that is what it feels like. 🙂 it was the best explanation I could come up with that made sense. I still really like how it feels, it just scares me that I am very easily 'hypnotized' like this.

I took a hypno birthing class and one of the things the teacher recommended for labor and to help the hypnosis process was light touches on the upper body. So I think there's definitely something to it and think it's awesome that it puts you in a trance like state 🙂 Have fun with it and explore it more, nothing to be afraid of!
