Tickle interest started by someone else

I'm a pretty young guy, 24 years old to be exact. Tickling was never really a part of my life until I dated this girl a few years ago. She LOVED tickling. She'd take every opportunity she got to sneak up behind me and grab my sides, wrestle me and get me down with tickling. We played all kinds of games involving tickling like trying not to move while being tickled. Tickling was also a huge way we got physically closer to one another. You know, like touching each other...under the shirt(GASP) 😂. Anyhow, tickling was a big part of our relationship.

We broke up for other reasons a few years ago but it dawned on me that as much as ticking was part of our bond, we never discussed it, like at all! I have to imagine that she has a tickling fetish based on all that. I just wonder if she's ever conciously acknowledged it.

Sometimes I wonder if I actually even have a tickle fetish, or if this previous relationship just cemented into my mind that tickling was a significant part of physical intimacy and until I experience otherwise, that's just the way I'll see it.

Meh, she probably didn't. Not to burst your bubble, or anything, but plenty of people just enjoy the social interaction of it. It's also possible that she was just using it as a easy way to initiate other things. I've met more than a few girls who have employed tickling just because they knew it would get some sort of reaction and start, well, something. Like, she would just want to.. well, honestly I don't know what. She seemed to use it to break bouts of people not paying attention to her, I guess.

Tbh I found it interesting that you feel like your relationship with this girl got you started with having an interest in tickling or a fetish for it. I have felt a strong interest in it and had my first sexual feelings about it in childhood, way before I was even old enough to understand what those feelings were or why I felt like that about it. I know lots of other people here have the same story; they just had this strong attraction to it from a very young age. But there are some people here who did not get into it until adulthood, and some of them got into it bc of a lover or former lover introducing it into their relationship as a form of foreplay or kinky play.

My first boyfriend was also really ticklish, probably a lot more than me, and was also a very great sport about trying different things with me, including tying each other up and tickling each other. Sometimes I hope he doesn't look back on our relationship and think what a weirdo I was. But sometimes I wonder, and would find it pretty amusing, if his relationship with me might have given him a little bit of a tickling fetish too 😉
