Tickle interrogation?

Hey all! Im very new to your community, but i would love to ask a question ive been pondering for ages...

Does anybody think that tickling is used as a form of interrogation in real life scenarios?... like in the stories we are used to reading... do interrogators really get trained up on tickling torture techniques in order to get responses from prisoners?, it seems like an effective idea... id certainly cave in.. i believe after a while...!

If so, this is very much covered up by the powers that be dont you think...

What does everyone really think?

I highly doubt it. Not many people are that ticklish,and alomst no one would be in that state of panic. There are far more effective means of torture than that,it's basicly just material for story writers.

Honestly, I dont think so. I agree that it is probably just good material to use for us fiction story writers, like myself,. The reason it isnt used could be multifold. One is that, like the previous poster said, many arent that ticklish. Also, it might not occur to people, who arent into tickling, like we all are, to use it, as tickling is more a playful, or annoying, thing to those outside the community.
You pose a very interesting question. Unfortunately, I dont think tickling is used often as a form of torture.

To be honest, if I were to be captured, I'd love to be tickled for interrogation purposes.. and I bet a lot of people would too, but are not as willing to admit it as we at the TMF are, and I'm willing to bet that torturers know that...

It might have, I suppose. It doesn't tend to leave too much of a mark and it can reinforce a dominant/submissive power relationship between an interrogator and the person being interrogated. It'd have to be conditional though. The person being interrogated would have to be quite ticklish and they can't enjoy it, otherwise they won't care or they'll just have a good time.
I don't think anyone can say it hasn't been tried somewhere, but I doubt it's high on the list of commonly used techniques.

I don't think for interrogatation. However, the Romans did used to smear a salt based substance on people's feet and have goats lick it off. It was mainly to strip the skin off of the poor person's soles. If I can find a link I will post to prove this...

I have an omline buddy into BDSM who would endure pain anytime rather than be tickled. Her older brothers tickle tortured her when she was a girl and spoiled her for tickling. Still, it's very strange. She says she can mentally control pain, but not tickling.

Still, for a psychological point of view it may be effective. For example if we were interrogating a group of people who felt women were inferior having a woman tickle them and be the dominant one may work on their minds. I dunno, interesting theory though.

There's no evidence to support Chinese tickle torture.I've never read ANY historical records on that,and the Chinese empires documented almost everything,even their punishments.

I love this topic.

I'd disagree as well, for the reasons given.

However, I would like to posit it as not being the most unlikely of things. Granted this is a logical fallacy, I think that, since tickling in regards to sexual arousal exists now, then it likely existed before the now. So, if you assume that this is not even a remotely new trend, it becomes slightly move believable.

But I would think that, if any of us were put into the situation as an interrogator and actually needed the results, that we would not utilize tickling, realizing how inconsistent AT BEST the method can be.

Unlikely. Prisoners are unlikely to confess at the sight of a feather, but a burning hot iron MIGHT just have that effect.

well first of all in todays world you wouldnt have tickling for interrogation anyhow as i tihnk it would be against the Guinea convention. middle eastern people wouldnt ever use it in the entire history because it consider rude to even show the bottom of your foot and is taken like a middle finger. its just not feasible but i think it would actaully be really effective if you had someone who was ticklish.... i mean there wouldnt be any evidence it was used

Multiple forced orgasm torture is FAR more effective than tickle torture as far as interrogations go, and pain is far more effective than that, so, in short, no.
