Ok, i have been searching for this movie for quite some time now. Ive looked everywhere. I even found a forum that had it but the file was corrupt. My question is this. If the company that made the clip is no longer around and the clip itself isnt available to purchase anywhere that ive found, is it ok to trade their clip for free???

Trading such a clip is not likely legal. While the company may not be around to purchase from, that does not make trading their material legal. Someone continues to hold the copyright to the media, and their absence from active business does not dissolve that copyright. You would be free to do this at such time as the copyright expired, something not happening for many decades.

The exception to this is if the clip in question was a preview clip, freely-distributed by the vendor before they vanished. In that case, as the clip was meant for distribution, you should be able to share it without a problem.

Yeah i meant the full movie...thanx anyway HDS...i figured that was the case.
