Tickle Scene in The Purge

I just watched this on DVD and there is a nonconsentual tickle scene at the 106 minute mark. I did a search on 'The Purge Tickle' to make sure I wasn't seeing things and many people have commented on it.

Two murderous thugs have the main female lead (Lena Headly) held down with the male thug holding her arms above her head and the female thug sitting on her. Then the female starts to tickle her ribs. The victim is terrified for her life so there is no laughter. Then the female raises a large knife and....

I thought it was interesting because apparently someone (writer, director, whoever) thought that it would be a good idea to include tickling in the movie.

From what I understand, it wasn't scripted, The actors decided to do it on the set. It doesn't show up in the script and they thought that the scene needed some kind of edge to play on the helplessness of Headey's character. It wasn't meant to be fun in anyway, just disturbing.
