This is an interesting thought.

I remember in the 90s, the clips/stories I read involved a lot of soft/sensual tickling. Look at real tickling clips. The way some of the lers flutter their hands over the armpits. The way the lees are in absolute agony. Move into the 200s, its about hard tickling a lot. The Tickle Torture site with Charlee however seems to be an ode to those old clips. To me it seems that tickling techniques changed in different eras, just like music did, at least in the fetish sense. What do you all think?

I think perhaps tickling videos have changed with time. Harmony and FM Concepts gave way to Real Tickling and A.N.A, which have given way to today's market. I think with the Intraweb, you can find a lot more people willing to be truly tickled, and not just "fake" tickled as in the past.

The old companies like Cal Star and Hollywood seemed to focus too much on feathers and ice for my liking. Harmony, HOM and Lyndon seemed to be the first to focus on direct hand to body tickling.

I like Charlee and Tickle Torture but if I see one more Sonic Care in a video or hear that annoying buzz I just might start taking hostages.

I see very few videos, but the ones that I do all tend to be quite hard tickling, as you said. Which is probably why I don't watch many, because hard tickling isn't nearly as fun as light tickling 😀
