interesting angle, well done. tickling seemed to be displayed more as a fun act rather than 'weird' which i thought was great as well.

Very nice clip, and an interesting hypothesis along with it. I won't deny that tickling is more effective with a social/trust element, but this experiment doesn't account for 2 variables which could likely affect the outcome:

1. Partners are more familiar with each other's ticklish spots and know right away where and how to zero in.

2. Strangers will be much more reluctant to offer anything more probing than cursory tickles in the least threatening ways possible.

I agree, tkl5150- good observations. They seem to be looking at this solely from the lee's point of view. They needed to do more tests, I'm afraid ...

By the way, I happened to catch the rest of that episode. They actually did do a second test with those three couples, this time blindfolding the 'lee and asking them if they could tell if it was their mates tickling them. The results tended to agree with the show's hypothosis, but at the same time, it would support tkl5150's idea that the 'lees would know the 'ler's touch better and identify it.
