Wow, nice one Kalamos!

The detail is incredible! Do another do another do another!

That was some FAST reply! 😀

I can post a larger version if you wish. 🙂

Next pic, though, I WON'T draw every single link of chainmail. 😀 😀 😀

Tnx tnx tnx and reg's!

Tnx Chimp [may I call you so? 😀 ]

You know I love your pics. I've a folder just for them.
Got them all, from the first ones, like that great Daphne you did long ago. 🙂

I've really liked your colour evolution. 🙂

Well, watch you soon. 😀

Love the vibrant colors and use of contrasts in this one K. That chain mail must have been a hoot to do. Hmmm. I imagine that knight must really be a "foot soldier" at heart. 😀

Aye! 😛 😛 😛
A footman! 😀
That was another pun I wanted to make a pic out of. 😀
You're becoming my muse, man!

Yes.. The mail links took their share of time. But the technique behind is really simple. 🙂
On the whole I'm satisfied with the way armour looks. Especially the brigandine's canvas.

Next time I'll put another woman, instead! This knight is really stealing all the scene! 😀

Tnx and reg's!

Oh...I think the young maiden is still by far the center piece of the scene. I especially like how you were able to give her skin a overall warm, flushed appearance.

As regards all the detail on the knight I was curious as to what you use for your visual reference. I, myself have fallen into the habit of hitting Google first whenever I need something visual to work from. 😀

Well, it was my hobby, then my chosen major and sometimes my job too.

For this particular character I had in mind a mid-XIV cent. fresco. If I happen to find the pic in my hd, I'll happily post. 🙂

But if you look for "Gentile da Fabriano" and "martyrdom" on google, you should find it. 😀

Odd sources I resort to, innit?

Reg's!
