Ticklee's Ticklishness determined by Tickler's Skill?

You know, I may have been a lee once or twice before... and I may have noticed that, sometimes I was incredibly ticklish, but other times I was SO ticklish that it just seemed to hurt. Anyone know a reason for this?

Might it be that the tickler just lacks in skill, or might it be that I may possibly be (Should we be talking about me) not all that ticklish/too ticklish?

Is there a method to this madness? D:

It seems, at least to me, that many factors go into it. I know my mood is one; if I'm not feeling too cheerful or playful, I'm less sensitive than I sometimes am. With respect to the person, I'd say that, for me, it's more the person than the skill of the person. If my 'ler is someone I am very close to and enjoy playing with, I seem to be more sensitive. If it's someone I know but am not particularly close to, there's much less of a reaction.

Then again, none of this holds true all of the time. 😀

This is definitely true for me. I think it's the skill of the tickler, but at any rate, I'm naturally super ticklish. Light brushes usually make me flinch, but my ticklishness varies, depending on a few factors.

1. Temperature; (hot weather will make my ticklishness skyrocket. I'll sit on a number 10 so high on the scale, I will have to take extra precautions to not accidentally tickle myself!)
2. lotion;
3. powder; (I seem to get more tickle spasms in areas with powder. Feels funny, but nice!)
4. wet or dry; (surprisingly, I'm not that ticklish when wet. Very ticklish when dry.)
5. fast hands; (if the "er" has very fast, skilled hands that flutter or scuttle, I'm a mess! Fast fingers tickle the daylights out of me.)

And that's about it. 🙂

I agree that warmer weather does make me more ticklish. And I think if the ler knows what they're doing, then it makes me SOO much more ticklish!!! 😉

Oooh. Very good to know. As I recall, lotion was very terrible. For me, dry skin made me too ticklish. It just hurt. ><

I've found in my ler efforts that suprise and variation plays a crucial role. A blindfold helps tremendously.
That being said, the person who most frequently tickles me doesn't get much of a reaction... so either she's bad or I'm immune!!

Definitely! This would definitely heighten the sensation. I would jump to the wall! 😱 It would also probably make me more twitchy. 😛

A really ticklish person will laugh anyway, but a good tickler can let the ticklee laugh much more than bad tickler.

I'd say, trust matters much more than skill - if she trusts you... but if not, skill plays backwards: you can fail with a really ticklish person, but you'll never succeed id she's non- or fairly ticklish.

The skill of the ler can play in. If the ler is attentive, they can normally adjust. But, an inattentive ler who thinks that one type of tickle fits all usually has little success with me. As others have stated, there are many factors that play into things as well. How comfortable I am on either a physical or emotional level...more comfy + more ticklish. The temp of the room...warmer is better. My relationship with the ler...friends get more response. Etc.

Sadly, it never worked for me 🙁 If there's no in first diligent try, next attempts fail also.
Maybe I need a few extra lessons)

Wow guys and gals, much appreciated. I think my personal problem may be that while it excites me, I hold back a great deal... and require REAL restraints to actually restrain me in any way. xD;

I'm one of those that looks forward to it, but sucks it all up the moment it comes down to it! I completely trusted my last tickler... but I suppose I'm not used to being out of control of a situation. D:

I´m with all above, relationship, confidence, mood.

And then the tickler skills...and by skills, it should be noted that skills are usually just a feelling to track reactions and to understand exactly what works in a split second. Great lers must be really sensitive to others and very willing to adjust to each lee.

That said, myself, i hold it back a lot also!!!!! it´s not really easy to have me laughing hard. It´s possible but has to be perfect conditions....and then i really am in trouble. But getting there is a really big challenge.

It does seem to be skill. One model I saw told me she wasn't ticklish on her feet. Well, after a while, I had to try, and she was laughing and rolling all over. I asked, puzzled, "I thought you said you weren't ticklish on your feet?"
She replied, "You've got the touch."
I took that as a compliment.
Another model I had seen before wrote me wanting to do another session. As ticklish as she is, and thinking she'd had enough the first time, I asked about that. She informed me she'd done a tickling video while in Vegas, and that the tickler was rather wimpy, that she felt she hadn't been tickled enough. She said I was one of the best.
I should get these gals to write this stuff down so I can put it on my tickling resume.

That's actually not the case for me. There are some people I don't trust and I have found that I seem more ticklish around those people. I get really twitchy and tickly when they rub up against me.

I think - to a certain extent - energy is a part of it. (Yes, I believe in metaphysical energy and how certain energies are stronger than others 😛), and I have come to find this to be true for me. The stronger and cleaner one's energy is, the more ticklish that makes me under their fingers. That's why you will usually see me desiring to be tickled by Nancy McKeon, Pamela Adlon, and Christine Cavanaugh. They all - to me - have very strong energy. I love it. It would be heavenly torture for me to be their "lee".
