not about like 50 years ago, but more like 200 or more years ago. Can you imagine someone during the Roman Empire or Medieval times being a huge ticklephile? or some of the early americans being a ticklephile? I was just thinking about that and it seemed really strange to me.
 
I imagine they existed, but a ticklephile at any point in history, probably thought he/she was the only one. Just like a lot of us did before the internet came along.

Although I kind of do like the idea of tickling being a part of a Roman orgy.

My kingdom to be Emperor Nero for one day (just not the last day.)
 
Picture the poor Victorian ticklephile, having to contend with whalebone corsets and high button-up shoes. We're living in a golden age, my friends.

I'm sure people have been tying up and tickling their lovers since cave days - but it is hard to imagine it, isn't it?
