Tickling,acceptable or violation ?

My opinion is that if the tickling is providing pleasure to the other individual and they are CONSENTING to it ,then it is alright.

If the tickler is doing the tickling NOT to provide pleasure to the other individual but forcing the ticking on them for their own sadistic satisfaction then it becomes a VIOLATION and would be considered ASSAULT. The tickling would be no differerent than if you beat someone with your fists and feet. Assault is assault. Anything done to another individual without their consent is ASSAULT !

What say the rest of you ? Agree or disagree ?

Well the law would consider non consensual touching an assault, as of course tickling would be.

While tickling someone to extremes w/o their consent is wrong,unless the tickling results in injury,its not assault.......................just had to throw it out there cuz this comes up often.

To an extent, tickling without consent shouldn't be assault. I mean, part of tickling is that you tackle someone sudenly, without permission, and do it even if they don't like it. That's just the nature of the game. It's not harmful in and of itself though.

Tickling no matter how you do it is a GAME!! Nothing more! It maybe a turn on for some, but a complete turn off for others! I question the sincerity of the 'ler' who does it without consent!! I guess you're right. It can't really be harmful if harm isn't intended. However if the person expressed to me that they dislike it then I would never do it again.

Hi gothmog. I wasn't really talking to you in particular. I was only trying to highlight that this sould be a case of VERY simple judgement to anyone with half a brain and that harrassment laws against things like tickling take away our freedom to simply fool around and play with one-another and have fun.

Gothmog, if you never tickle anyone out of respect for their personal space, it's nice that you're thinking of them, but unless they are haemophiliacs or something, I think you're worrying WAY too much. Tickling shouldn't be abuse and if you're the one doing it, it won't be unless that's your intention. I think you're afraid to be human if you won't touch people out of "respect"

Like Metrion said, tickling is supposed to be unpleasant and fun kinda at the same time. It's not the sort of thing you should have to ask permission to do. Just listen to your heart ;-)

If someone doesn't enjoy or want to be tickled then you don't have the right to force it on them just because you may be physically stronger than the other individual. The law is quite clear on this. If you don't believe me then the next time you see an attractive policewoman go up to her and start tickling her and see what happens.

Oh and this is a fun one I do when in a bar or club: Tell the girl to put her hands flat on the table, palms down. Then I put our drinks on the backs of her hands hehe and I tease her (she can't mover her hands or she spills the drinks) and gently poke her sides. I love this one so much!!

So anyway yeah, tickling is acceptable. Being a PEST isn't.

Actually I retract my statement of they deserve whatever the consequences. I don't hurt people. But while tickling may be fun to one person it can be very humiliating, or traumatic to another, I'm just asking people to be able to look through some one elses' eyes.
