Tickling at alt.multimedia.tk

I am new to TMF and I never figured out how to get to alt.multimedia.tk. I have downloaded a news reader for the Internet and everything except how to get to the clips. If someone could email me on how to get there I would greatly appreciate it. Me email address is [email protected] 😕 😀

The first thing you need to do is to find out what the address is for the news server provided by your ISP (Internet service provider). Let's assume that your ISP is called some_isp and email addresses provided by it are of the form name@some_isp.com . Your news server address will be something like news.some_isp.com , but the specifics are up to your ISP and they should have information on their site that will provide this information.

I would suggest checking the online help for your ISP or contacting them; some of them will provide directions for accessing news groups and you don't have to tell them the name of the specific group. You can say that you are just interested in learning how to access news groups. The online help for the ISP Internet America has some information regarding news servers that may be useful to you. Of course, unless you use Internet America, the addresses given for their news server won't be of use to you, but they do show how to configure several types of news readers and this may help you figure out what type of information you need.

These directions assume you access the Internet through a tradition ISP as opposed to accessing the Internet through some type of public Internet access, such as a school or library. I'm not sure what you would need to do in that case.
