Having worked at the company I've worked at for too many years, I've have a great reputation. Fun loving, always joking around, - picture Stanley from the commercial (guy throws cactus at co-worker, blames 'Stanley,' co-worker laughs because Stanley did it). Just a very likable person.
Anyway, this is an instance that happened several years ago. I was on my way to the rest room when I passed someone's cube whom I've known for several years whom we shall call "Megan." Megan was an older lady - mid/upper 50's, really sweet, slender body, looked good for her age but not the stunning type. It was around 530pm or so, Megan was on the phone, and I see she's got her feet propped up on her desk - shoes off exposing her stocking feet. I see this and keep walking and start thinking "should I?"
On my way back, I figured to go for it. She's still on the phone, so I pass by her cube, stop and double back and walk in. Knowing she's on the phone, I don't say anything and extend my hand (raising it up and down) and mouth to her "what's this," making sure to have a confused look. Pretty much was trying to play it in a "this is professional" role. With her still being on the phone, she couldn't say anything - she just laughed, shook her head, rolled her eyes gave a "shoo" movement with her hand all at the same time. All while still holding her end of the conversation.
So, me being the person I am, I give the shock look - eyes wide open, mouth agape. Then I scrunched my face and gave the angry look, which made her giggle. So I sat down at her desk and took my finger and made a tickling motion towards her foot and look at her face. Her eyes get wide (keep in mind she's still talking), but realizing she's still talking I stop, which gives her a sense of relief. Not even 2 seconds later, she's finished talking and the other person starts, so I take my left hand and pin her feet to her desk, and take my right finger and start moving it up/down each foot. Her eyes get wide again and you can see her face starting to smile but hold in the laughter, but I heard the other person stop talking so I stopped to let her talk.
She says a few words - lasts about 10 seconds or so, and the other person is talking now. I went in and did an all-out assault on her feet. Pinned down with one hand, frantic tickling with the other one. Both feet are jumping around, one covering up the other, trying to pull her feet back, bouncing around in her chair trying - and she's fighting to hold back the laughter. This lasts for about 10-15 seconds or so, and finally she asks the other person (with snickers and giggles) "can I put you on hold for a second."
She reaches back, and I'm thinking I'm going to have a stapler thrown at me. Instead, she puts the phone on mute and busts out laughing hysterically - all while I'm still tickling her for another 10 seconds. Feet are still jumping around, and she's desperately trying to get her feet free. Finally I ease up my grip, she gets feet free and pulls them off her desk, still laughing from what transpired (the wind-down laugh). She looks up at me, gives me this evil smile, and goes "get out" with a laugh at the end. So I start backing out of her cube, big grin on my face, and right before I leave she closes her eyes, shakes her head and laughingly says "you're such a punk."
I ran into her many times after that day. We always smiled and talked - nothing changed after that. Except for the way I looked at her...
