Tickling Google's New Search Engine

Google has a great new search engine for recently aired material on television.

Type in any word like... oh let's say tickling ... and this nifty little engine offers up a veritable cornucopia of program transcripts and vidcaps of the week's shows featuring tickling!

And it works great for other queries too. Pick your poison: Feet, Belly buttons, etc. Its all good.

Thats not a bad little site. I think it is kinda funny that all these different shows hve tickling in them. I never really noticed how many shows did have tickling in them.

This is great!!

Of course, it has one downfall. Say you miss a show with a cool scene in it (Like I did, as apparently Nicole Parker was tickled on Second Time Around, which has also been conveniently cancelled), and you have no way of getting a copy because you dont know anyone else who would have watched it (refer to the note about it being cancelled), you have to pray to the heavens it is reran again. It almost....and I do mean almost, makes you wish you didnt know about the scene to start with.

But definitely a cool item, and will become an asset to us in the mainstream scene collecting community. Thank you!

Thanks for the great feedback on this developing advancement.

The kind folks at Google have outdone themselves with this thing.

This engine is still in a developmental phase offering a limited selection of channels at present but it looks as if the goal is to create a comprehensive list of all things televised.

There are even hints that a future version will include an actual archive of video clips. This could make the work of the mainstream media collector a might bit easier.*

Cool, cool stuff.

I wonder how often they update this video search site over at Google. Same ones pop-up every time I check-in on things. Will certainly be lookoing forward to when they move beyond the developmental phase.

Also, seems like there's a reference to tickling in every freakin' episode of some kid's show called Zoboomafoo on PBS. 😕
