Tickling my girlfriend

Newcomer here,

my name is Kenny, I'm 21, and I love tickling.

I'm a college student studying biochemical engineering.

My girlfriend is REALLY ticklish. I asked her on a scale of 1 to 10, how ticklish she thought she was, she said 11. I've tickled her everywhere, but definitely her armpits and feet are the most ticklish. Anyways, I don't think she knows that I'm into this kind of thing.

So I was planning on asking if I could tie her up and tickle her. BUT I'm afraid she will freak out. So, what is the best way to ask for this kinda thing. Also, there are no BDSM shops I know of in Minnesota, what is the best way I can get access to her armpits and feet without her covering up AND without hurting her of course. String? Blankets? Some kind of handcuffs?

I would start by telling her you are into tickling first. I wouldn't burst right out asking to tie and tickle her. Maybe you could show her some of the stuff online, clips and stories, and see what she says.

Hi Kenny. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on delurking.

I think you have already laid the groundwork to take this tickling to the next level. I've done this a number of times before and what I have found to work best is to start out by just playfully tickling a girlfriend to gauge reactions and her general level of tolerance or enjoyment of the tickling. If the girlfriend absolutely hates being tickled every time, then I would abandon further attempts of tickling her, and those relationships inevitably ended soon afterwards as well. However, most women in a solid, long-term relationship really want to make their man happy. If I find a girlfriend either likes tickling, or is indifferent to it but loves how much I enjoy it, then I think it is safe to proceed to the next level.

The next time you are playfully tickling, just casually mention something to the effect of, "I really love tickling you." Believe me, if you are tickling her as much as it sounds like, then she already knew this. Then say something like, "I think it would really be fun and hot to try this with some bondage, if you would be interested in that." Then just leave it in her corner. It's more likely in this situation that her initial concern may be over the bondage than the tickling. If that's the case, you may have to give her some time, or just start with very light, minimally restrictive bondage. Work up to what you really want to do slowly, in a way that always ensures she is comfortable. Basically, the biggest key to this situation is to make sure she is always comfortable and feels safe. If you make this effort, she will know it, and you will ultimately be rewarded.

Of course, she may respond to your initial request to add bondage with an excited, "HELL YES!!!!" In that case, you lucky bastard, that brings us to your second question, how to actually go about bondage. Firstly, for the love of god, DO NOT USE STRING!!! This is a burn just waiting to happen and she will not be comfortable. The only place I ever use string in bondage is to tie toes together. Blankets are fine for very playful, less restrictive bondage if you wanted to perhaps roll her tightly within the blankets and tickle her protruding feet. Just make sure her head is all the way out and she is breathing normally. I don't particularly like handcuffs. They have a reputation as being the tool of choice for kinksters into bondage, but in reality they can actually be very uncomfortable and can really hurt your lee's wrists and ankles if she thrashes around a lot. Use with caution.

If you are going to so more restrictive bondage, which again I recommend you work up to slowly, then you are going to need some rope. Go to Home Depot or Loews or some such big hardware store, and get some nylon rope. Don't get any other kind of rope, it can scratch or burn. You are going to want to get at least 100 feet worth, and preferably in various smaller lengths. As to how tie her up, there's a whole wealth of literature on this subject and you don't need a local bdsm class. One site I would recommend is twistedmonk.com. They give some really good instructions and tutorials on various bondage positions and knots.

If she agrees- you can buy a proper set of nylon restraints online. It will be worth every penny. And- I agree that most ropes are bad for bondage use, and handcuffs end up hurting.

Nylons work well. Don't have to spend money on equipment. Silk nylons don't leave marks.

I myself am a prince of improvised bondage, as I have absolutely no equipment or useful materials. Neckties, bathrobe belts, or regular belts - especially the ones that are kinda or rope belts that you tighten and cinch up - work well. Just don't try to get too fancy using improvised stuff like that, because tying somebody up improperly can cause some damage. Keep it simple.

I'd start off by just "letting it slip" that it turns you on when you tickle her, or that you think she's really sexy when she's giggling like that, or whatever. Avoid the word "fetish" if you can, and ease her into the idea. Don't just show up one day with handcuffs and a whip and be like "hey babe, I think I'd like to try some bondage and torture today. Cool?"

hi kenny. Just like baldadonis said, start slow. It paid off for me. My girlfriend is ticklish on her ribs and feet and ultra extremely ticklish on her armpits (she really is like a 15 on a 1-10 scale.) It really frustrated me when i tried to tickle her and I couldn't get a "clean" tickle with all the thrashing. I would try to hold her down, but i was afraid i was going to hurt her.

So I basically ask her how long she could resist being tickled for a period of time. She let me tickle her but of course didn't last long. Then i suggested i would tie her wrist with a tie, so that i could hold her arms together, and tickle her with one hand for like a minute. of course I provided an incentive, saying we would do whatever she wanted if she could resist. She agreed, she didn't think it was weird. So of course she had a hard time, but since it became a challenge, she didn't wanted to lose and I got to tickle her decently. I started to increase the time intervals later on. BUT ONE THING TO REMEMBER.. If you say ONE minute its gonna be ONE minute. Trust is a key factor.

Days later. I complained that it wasn't fair I was only using one hand to tickle her. So I asked if I could tie her wrists together to something... in this case it was a futon, so I could use both hands. She said okay, but it had to be for a shorter period of time. (I was tickling her for longer periods by then). Again you can't get picky. Did this for a while increasing time intervals.
