Tickling Robot - Test Volunteers

Out of curiousity, what do you think of such an advertisement?


"Volunteer test subjects needed for a tickling robot/ machine... Test subject must be ticklish, And will be tickled by a robot for an allotted period of time. The volunteer must be able to provide feedback on the tickling effectiveness. The volunteer must also undergo a round of testing after any modifications made to the robot as a result of the volunteer's feedback."

suppose you came accross it on Craigslist or your local classifieds...

So what do you think? would you ever actually volunteer to be a test subject for a tickling robot built for the purpose of actual tickle torture, and not spa/massage bullsh*t.

It'd have to read a little more officially for me. This ad kinda sounds like a dude is just waiting in his basement for you to respond so he can have his way with you after he gets you strapped in.

The premise is exciting though. If it was a legit study/device, say at a university or something, I'd definaltey sign up to give it a go.

My reaction would be to find out if I can bring a friend/bodyguard with me. It would be hard to trust a stranger who placed an ad on Craigs List.

I also found a paper they wrote about this, which says that they managed to induce laughter with the robot tickling under the arms. I had thought the researchers were only interested in tickling because they saw it as a challenge for robotics. But it appears they are also interested in applications including "enhancing health" and "treating mental diseases". Yes, it will be interesting to see what comes of this.

First I would want to know if I could bring a friend or two for safety. Then I'd want more details. Finally, I would eant to know about pay/compensation. And there would be a waiver stating no genital contact.
