Once a rising star in the women's wrestling circuit, Carmen is a statistic of the 2008 recession and has lost it all. Resigned to eeking out a meager existence, she is resigned to living beneath her pride, renting a room from Ella.
The relationship between renter and landlord has deteriorated to being antagonizing and spiteful. Ella lurks around every corner pinning Carmen down to pay the rent and Carmen is being a slouch and lashing out at Ella with snide remarks and even torturous foot tickling.
