Many of my happiest tickling moments have been vicarious rather than personal meaning when I watched the tickling rather than participating. And the martial arts, particularly the grappling arts like judo, jujitsu, & wrestling, have provided some wonderful memories. On an f/f note, about 15 years ago or so (dating myself), during a jujitsu class we were invited to "randori" or practice of the techniques taught in class. There were only two women in class who were paired up. It was a mismatch of sorts in that one woman was a good 15 lbs heavier and more muscular than her petite opponent. However, when the more muscular woman took advantage of her superior upper body strength and attempted to pin her opponent, the latter freed herself by tickling the muscular woman's ribs and tummy. The muscular woman complained that the petite woman had cheated and that she should have been awarded a victory. The sensei was unconvinced saying that the petite woman had found a way to release herself much as she might have on the street. I wondered about tickling at that moment as a street defense but relished in the knowledge that our resident female champion was ticklish. When I commented about it after class, She admonished me that she wasn't ticklish. I then asked her "why did you let go and complain?". I never got an answer.
