tickling videos and taste

To state the obvious, tastes vary. In mainstream films, millions loved "The English Patient" and "The Blair Witch Project", but I found both of them boring and an utter waste of time.

With regard to tickling videos, whether in the form of a tape, a DVD, or a clip, tastes still vary. I may find a video lame or even disgusting while you like it; I may love one that you find awful. So what? Varying tastes make the world an interesting place.

Spend your own money on what you like. State your opinions of a video producer if you wish. Don't expect everybody to agree with you.

I once (only once, in about 1989) bought a CalStar tickling video. Waste of money. Did I have a legal complaint against them? No, the scene pictured on the cover of the box was in the video, and the description on the cover did match the scenes. It was just badly done with inept bondage and fake laughter. I learned not to buy their products.

This is far different than fraud. Examples of fraud: The tape is advertised as one hour, but is only 48 minutes long. The tape is advertised as starring Jane Apple, but she appears in only three minutes of it, and other models in the other 45 minutes. The tape is advertised as being a foot tickling tape, but has only 15 minutes of that.

If you don't like a video but have not been defrauded, then go ahead and write a bad review of it, in the reviews forum.

Thanks, Leonard! I was going to start a thread on this general topic and got pulled away from the computer by other things. So, since you've already started it, I'll add my thoughts here....

Recently, there has been a good deal of discussion about how video companies make and present their material. TC Videos trial of a new format has been one of the reasons for this debate. Some like it. Others don't. As I recall, TiB said that this is a format they're trying out because people specificly asked for other camera angles. This is simply one example. The video and pay site reviews sections give plenty of other examples.

In the case of TC Videos, perhaps using a bit less of the face shots and taking it from other segments of the session and/or interspersing it throughout the main action would be better? I've seen a number of folks say simply that they don't like the face stuff...either because it's repeat of the same action or because they dont' get anything out of just looking at the face or both. These are valid opinions held by those individuals. That's cool. They're free to express that fact...respectfully (or at least without insults).

We've seen plenty of threads over the life of the forum stating various opinions about various companies. However, may I make a suggestion for those who don't like the current formats/themes/whatever of videos by a certain company...whatever company that may be? If you truly don't like the current format, would you care to suggest specific alternatives? I think we could use some more specifics rather than simply, "I don't like it." or "I love it." Some folks are very clear about what they like. Others are rather vague. Some are downright rude.

As someone who has produced a few videos in the past, I'd MUCH prefer to hear specifics, pro or con...of what people think. To help things along and hopefully bring some CONstructive criticism/advice rather that what has often been mainly DEstructive comment in many of the threads I've seen, I've listed a few questions below. I think those of us here who do videos would find the feedback useful. (References to "video" refer to both clips and tapes for the purpose of these questions.)

1) What camera angle(s) would you most/least like to see in a video?

2) If various angles are spliced into one video, would you prefer...
. a) several angle changes throughout the video keeping the action in order of occurence
. b) just one or two changes with the action in order of occurence
. c) no changes at all...just a straight shot of the action all the way through
. d) I don't care as long as the model is cute and ticklish!

3) What setting do you like to see?
. a) I like a storyline with the action in the story setting.
. b) I like just straight out tickling...no stories or anything like that.
. c) Storeis and settings don't matter. I want real life play.
. d) anything is fine.
. e) I have some specific themes I'd like to see in videos.

4) When chosing models, I personally think that...
. a) they should be cute and very ticklish
. b) looks don't matter as long as they're ticklish
. c) I'm more interested in looks even if they're only mildly ticklish

5) When buying clips online, I prefer to have
. a) more content to choose from
. b) any amount of content as long as it's good
. c) more payment options
. d) more free material so I don't have to pay for it.

These are just a few things to get real discussion rolling. Please keep any responses specific and constructive. Feel free to add other questions of video format, etc. for discussion. I'm sure there's plenty more to look at.

One idea about mixing different angles has been spooking about in my head for a long time: I love a good view of the ticklee's facial expression, but I hate to miss any tickling action for it. So, why doesn't a producer insert a smaller "vignette" with the laughing face into the big picture of the tickling action? Somewhere in the "dead angle"? I know it can be done in the age of digital cameras. But it's not so good for clips, as most people's monitors are too small; you can only see the details on the TV screen.

As for your other questions, Ann:

1) Several different angles, but not too many cuts.
2) see idea above
3) Like everybody, I have special fantasies about specific themes, e.g. three of more females tickling each other in unrestrained tickle fight, and later some gangtickling in bondage, if possible mixed with a little sex. But a real good, intricate story line would take away time from the tickling action, and let's face it: Most amateurs are lousy actors! 😛
4) For me, the participants should combine good looks with genuine ticklishness. I'd be happy to do the casting without any charge!!! 😛
5) I prefer the longer video version, not the brief online clips, mainly because my computer is lousy! 🙄

i prefer m/f, and f/m. unfortunatly most videos are f/f, so i don't buy them!
as for taste, i prefer salty over sweet.
