Just thought i should share something as I hardly ever have tickling stories. Although this one kind of is but hey. Just found out that 3 out of 4 girls i work with are ticklish. I know one is cause i always tickle her. Found out bout a month ago after i started working there again that the second one is ticklish. Found out tonight that a third was ticklish. Now i have worked with the third one before. We were both in the navy. I would always hang with her in the smoke pit, but i had never figured out if she was ticklish. Well tonight another co worker and her were horsing around for a minute and he reached over and tickled her sides. It was a really nice reaction. Squeeked and squirmed. Nothing more then just a second. But I am guessing there will be more tickling at that store from now on.

Be careful with doing stuff like that at the workplace. Can get you fired for sexual harrassment in no time.

Yes, it's best to keep the work life and the real life seperate. Things can get crazy pretty quickly in the work place, and not in a good way.

Cool beans. It's always cool to see chicks you know get tickled.

I've gotten frequently tickled at the office--not by a bunch of different people but by a handful of persistent people. A coworker finds out you're ticklish and then she doesn't let it go. Their tone and approach to tickling me has always been playful and platonic and it's never raised any red flags of inappropriateness with anyone else. It helps, obviously, that they and I have been peers and they've never acted weird about it. Frankly, I'm also aware that it helps that they've all been women and I'm a guy, which makes other people less likely to assume that they're being overly presumptuous or abusive or exploitive in any way.

Still a good idea to keep it outside the workplace. If nothing else, you can get complacent and end up tickling the wrong person before you realize that you've done the wrong thing.

Well, as long as no one is finding it inappropriate, I don't see the harm. Enjoy! Just be careful.

This is a slippery slope that I would be going out of my way to avoid. Because eventually, sooner or later, it'll end up being one big disaster for someone. I know the OP says that everyone there is real laid back, but what if you get a temporary in there and someone decides that to make her feel part of the group, they decide to tickle her and she takes it as an unwanted advance that was made towards her and she decides to take it up with management? Or, you get a new hire whose been there for a short while and sees this going on, thinking it's the everyday norm, so they decide to do it, except they do it to someone that turns out that they don't like, whether it be a personality conflict, they're creeped out because of the way the person looks, etc. The one whose doing the tickling doesn't know that, nor does anyone else there because they've been putting their own personal feelings to the side in order to get along in the workplace, that is up until that point. What then?

I can just about guarantee you that 1) someone will no longer have their job, 2) there will be a meeting over it (especially if management ends up finding out that this has been ongoing thing for quite some time now. They'll be putting the proverbial boot up each and every one of your asses), and 3) your very laid back office atmosphere will no longer be one. Not only will there no longer be anymore tickling each other, they'll be more serious about everything as they go along because that is the way office politics operate (which is something I personally despise more than anything else). Like any other form of politics, once something is initiated, they never draw the line as to where it begins and where it ends.

And for what? Over one person who happened to tickle someone that either didn't like that person, has it in for them or that person is the type that was just waiting for something to happen because they are either a bitch or an asshole that thrives off of the suffering or misfortune of others.

I am self-employed and have 3 gals that work for me that are ticklish. All are friends of mine, so the chance of harassment problem is nill.
One is cute, 50 year old big boned gal, who claims to be "beyond ticklish". Quick side tickles confirm this to be true.
Another is brunette and also has been quickly side tickled.
The third is late 40's and confirmed ticklish all over. Tickled her sides many times, has really ticklish knees, and extremely ticklish feet. This one likes to be tickled.

You can’t eliminate the risk of doing this at work. Fitnesstickle, for example, you own a company, have 3 female employees, they are friends, so it’s all good, right? Fair enough. But if you ever decide you need to fire one of them, you have a problem. If you think that there is no chance that this ever will happen, well, then you haven’t been in the business world very long. OP, if another woman is hired and does not want to be tickled, even if you respect her wish, she may complain that she had to choose betwteen fitting in and being touched in a way that makes her uncomfortable, or not fitting in.

It’s also risky to date co-workers; but on the other hand, some happily married couples started that way, so it was worth it for them! The best thing to do is to understand that you have some risk, and have the analytical part of your brain pay attention to what’s going on!

Thanks for the tutorial, but I have been in business a long time, and am quite careful with this.

Such nice responses. I'm sure he won't be posting anything for a while.

On another note, I think some of you are over reacting. Not saying you're wrong, just too harsh. Sure he should be carefull, but its not like he talked about anyone being tortured and you jump on him like someone got held down and tickled by a group of people.

Yeah, I agree. This seems pretty harmless, as long as everyone is on board there is nothing to worry about. I've tickled plenty of my female co-workers and never had a complaint. In fact, it usually leads to harmless flirting. Enjoy!

That is because you are high at work. 😛

Tickling in the workplace is risky business. Like smoking or seat belts. Chances are you won't get cancer or have an accident but if it happens, it's too late. I've tickled in the workplace but decided the odds would eventually catch up with me so I keep my workplace tickling in the realm of fantasy where the scenes can run wild.

Doing it once is risky, but the first post here ("3 out of 4") almost makes it sound like it's some kind of conquest to find out if they're all ticklish.

Way too dangerous for me...
