Ticklish Haikus

Why? Because writing haiku poetry is entertaining. Or at least it is to me... Anyways, without further ado:



Anticipation

Look at the feather...
can you guess what it is for?
You probably know.



Breathless

Restraints bind me,
fingers dance playfully,
laughter fills the air.



Ticklish

I am ticklish,
especially on my ribs,
barbecue sauce.

Clenched teeth surrender
Desperate laughter erupts!
As tears fill her eyes

I pet and kiss her
Her giggles melt into sighs
Sleep overtakes her

I was raised on Edward Lear's Nonsense Omnibus (it's how my mom helped me practice reading outloud), and you sir have topped every limerick in that book. Also, you have reminded me of that issue of Archie where Jughead goes around creating limericks of his friends.

There once was a young lass from Crete
Whose laughter was ever so sweet
She'd chirp, and she'd tweet
As I licked her feet
That ticklish young lass from Crete

Tightening, straining
Wood slamming against cement

Why thank you! I usually do best creating limericks when i don't try to over-think them. The hard part (for me) is that sometimes a limerick will fully resolve itself in my head, and I don't always jot it down in time before the darn thing is lost!

And, we had that very same book in our house, too!

BTW - Somewhere lost amongst the backpages is a thread devoted to tickling limericks. I'm just too lazy and short on time to find it.
