I'm one of those guys that believes that the truth (almost) always lies in the middle of two extremes. If a tickling partner were based purely on looks and ticklishness (though I do agree that personality and values trump all), then I would be unhappy at the extremes. There's no fun in a partner who's beautiful but reacts to tickling like a marble statue, nor is it much fun if your lee is super ticklish but looks like (s)he is the reincarnation of Swamp Thing.
