ticklish people who don't laugh?

Is laughter a must to define someone as ticklish?
If they don't laugh, then are you just irritating them?

no...sometimes I just squirm...or try to pretend that i'm not ticklish 😛

I dont think so. Different types of tickles produce different reactions. I remember one girl on my high school swim team would laugh if I tickled her feet hard but if I softly stroked her feet she would just squirm and smile ( she loved that)

Also, some people make an involuntary sound that is more like a scream than a laugh.

Hearing a ticklee laugh makes it more enjoyable for me, but squirming and twitching are sure signs of ticklishness. Even if they're not that ticklish, but enjoy fingers spidering up and down their body, that's still really great.

I'm not speaking out of experience, though. Just from tickling videos.

As a tickler: laughing, smiling, and squirming are sure signs of ticklishness. Especially if she looks at you, and dares you too do it more with acceptance. They may resist after acceptance, but that's the whole point!!! I triple dog dare you! 🙂 Keep Going and Enjoy!

Well first I am what you would consider more of a silent lee. At first I was upset about not really laughing till I heard this awesome old TMF Radio. I might lightly giggle and that is it, but I am ticklish. I moan, shake, squirm. and gasp when you find a good spot.

My theory is I trained myself to be silent. During my high school years I was also in an art school. I was in the voice department. We would go to student nights at VA Opera. One night during an opera I tired to squeeze my friends knee. I got no reaction at all. Then he decide to squeeze my knee. It is was in the middle of an aria and I remember trying to not laugh and trying to control myself. My friend would torture me just about every opera and I had to force myself to be silent. Now I am not a science major, so I am not sure if it is possible to train yourself not to laugh while being tickled, but I do wonder.
