Ticklish Women in Sports

Earlier today when looking at the biggest pair of feet I have tickled thread, it got me thinking… has anyone noticed that it seems women who play certain sports maybe more ticklish than women who play another. Growing up I dated volleyball, basketball, soccer and softball players. Ironically it seemed like girls who played soccer (I have never liked the sport too boring) had the most ticklish feet and were ticklish. I don’t think I knew one that wasn’t. Just curious if anyone else has any data.

My sister played soccer for 15 years and is deathly ticklish pretty much everywhere, except for her feet lol

I don't know if sport would really make that much difference, but perhaps something that toughens your feet up might make you less ticklish. I've known two ballerinas in my life who were both very ticklish everywhere expect for their feet, and I always assumed it was because dancing en pointe desensitized them by hardening the skin. Though it might sound odd, ballet might very well be harder on the feet than sports because of the shoes they were. But if the same principle were to apply, putting your feet to work may have an anti-ticklish effect.

Female fighters seem to be especially ticklish for some reason. Maybe it's because they have to defend certain parts of their bodies, so the tickle reflex is kind of more important to them.

I've experienced the exact opposite with ballerinas and dancers.

I dated one who to this day might have had the most ticklish feet out of anyone I've ever dated.... maybe....

One of the most ticklish girls I ever knew was a basketball player. She had ridiculously ticklish feet -- maybe the most ticklish I've ever run across.

A friend from years ago that played soccer is definitely one of the most ticklish that i've tickled...head to all 10 toes. Also a good friend who is non binary has an amazing pair of deliciously ticklish feet that had played soccer as well.

I loved playing co-ed soccer, endless opportunities.

I’ve heard a real story of a very ambitious young sportswoman who had to give up her career in judo because the partners she was wresting with never hesitated to sneakily poke their finger into her ribs to overpower her, as she had no control over her body while being tickled. In the end, despite being both very strong physically and having a great will-power, she had no other choice but to take up swimming instead.

So, when you see a champion swimmer on the victory podium, posing for the photographers in her swimsuit and holding her trophy over her head, just think that she may has won the world championship only because she's too ticklish for the full-contact martial arts.

I have a client that does amateur soccer and her legs and feet are very ticklish. Whenever I work on her feet, she gets flinchy and giggly, but she knows she needs the work 😂

I have another client who is in college that did powerlifting in HS but now does track and field like discus, shotput, other power events. She's DEATHLY ticklish on her feet. I have to kinda hold her foot for a while just to get her used to my touch cause she instantly gets to laughing when I just grab them

Additionally, the longer a female plays that sport, the levels of sensitivity and ticklishness increases by 5.63%.

this is true, my female cousin of mine, played ruby in university and she is really ticklish, I have had so many opportunities to tickle her growing up and she was always a good sport about it, and totally one of her weakness, ah fun times! I look upon those memories fondly 🙂

If this is true, there's a girl that I follow on IG who is a rugby player. Cute as a button, but a mean little bugger. She's got very cute feet too. Would love if she was uber ticklish

I have no stats, but I coached a womans softball team, and least 4 players wouldn't let anyone or anything near they're feet due to intense ticklishness!

I enjoy watching the female athletes get their arches taped by the sports trainers and seeing a jumpy reaction. There's even a tmf true story about things happening in the athletic training room (great story). A couple cool videos out there with tennis players getting accidentally tickled on the foot during turf -toe taping
