Tiger meat really donkey

Saw an article in the paper about a restaurant in China that claimed to be serving tiger meat which is illegal but the meat (which cost $98 for stir fried or raw for $863.00 a kilogram) was really donkey meat dressed with tiger urine to give it a "special flavor". Guess you really have to be careful in those countries what you order because you never know what you're going to get.

Normally I try to stay away from subjects like this as they can easily be misinterpreted as racism but, this reminds me of how americans are always saying that the meet you get at Chinese restaraunts is really cat or dog meat but, usually cat. Ever notice how strangely shaped their chicken is? I've never seen chicken meat that is wavey like that but, it tastes like chicken and the texture is like that of chicken so, I just eat it right up (I love Chinese food!). I have a brother who lives in SC and he said something once about having a Chinese neighbor who had a lot of cats in her yard and was getting more and more all of the time. She also ran a restaraunt. I don't know how it was found out but, she ended up getting busted for selling cat meat in her restaraunt and worst of all they were strays. YUCK. Can you imagine all of the diseases you could get from that?? Disgusting! Also the urine dressing on the donkey meet is totally gross! Makes me want to barf!

A neighbour of my parents once saved a dog that was kept tied outside a restaurant for the purpose of eventually being part of the menu. Another restaurant where I live got busted for serving both dog and cat meat.

wow. what does a simple american say to such a... disgrace to the chinese food industry? damn those evil chinese substituters? down with donkey, up with tiger?

i'm still trying to get over the fact that people from india worship cows... those poor, poor, people have never eaten a juicy cut of prime rib...
