I think this is the Braves worst pitching move, and free agent pitching departure, since Tom Glavine left Atlanta in 2002.
Yes, Hudson is 38, and yes, he's coming off an injury, but, except for the year he had the Tommy John Surgery, he has piled up wins and been an innings eater.
Hudson won't quite make the Hall of Fame like Glavine will, but Hudson was, and is, a great pitcher.
I think the Braves will feel this void next year. All of their current rotation is very young, and inexperienced, and Hudson would have been a good veteran stabilizing force.
