I am looking forward to broc lesnar's mma debue, but after this interview I read with Tim "the maniac" silvia, i have to say something. He said that lesnar wouldnt last a round and this is coming from the fighter that uses his opponents as a stand up mattress and they get so tired of carrying his big goofy ass he lands a fierce hand and knocks them out. I hope noguiera uses tim's head as a punching bag.

Horn's a great ground guy and all kinds of trouble, but Marquart's handled guy like him before (Dean Lister). Great fight, but I think Horn's going to get outmatched. MARQUARDT by DECISION

Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir

Brock's explosive and above all, powerful. Mir's got great skills, but since his accident, he hasn't got the speed he used to have. He needs that speed to contain an animal like Lesnar. If it's old Frank Mir, he'll win. If it's the post-accident Mir, he'll get crushed. LESNAR by TKO

Tim Sylvia vs. Antonio Noguiera

Sylvia has issues on the ground, no question. The problem is taking him to the ground. Couture could do it because he's got great skills at takedowns. Noguiera may have superior jiu jitsu skills, but his takedowns aren't up to par. If it goes to the ground, Nog my get him, but I doubt it. It's more likely we get a typical 25-minute Tim Sylvia snore-fest. Wake me when this one's over. TIM SYLVIA by DECISION

Well I was right, Lesner didn't get out of the first round, he fights too fast and crazy to win against a submission expert.

curious...I bought into the hype of this fight; Lesnar making his debut and such plus I was bored and it was on ppv...what now for Lesnar, not knowing much bout mma or ufc I would say his finished yeh? or has he got more left in him?

Idk lesnar was all over mir like white on rice. I say lesnar needs to work on his ground game.

As for silvia. Good im glad he lost. I thought he was gunna do what he always does, drool all over his oppenents and they drown to death. Noguira is a much more deserving champion.

Lesnar's not done. Regardless of the result, Lesnar spent the first 60 seconds of the fight breaking Mir's face. If it had been just about any other heavyweight in there with Lesnar, he would have won it by TKO before the first five minutes were up. Rookie mistake for Lesnar. Great jiu jitsu for Mir. Lesnar just needs more experience in fighting (submissions, stand up and overall defense), that's all.

I'd imagine his next fight will be Antoni Hardonk. Mir will probably get the winner of the Kongo/Herring fight next month.

Don't get me wrong, Lesner impressed me with hs ground and pound, but he threw his strikes too recklessly, you can't do that against a submission expert. He dominated for a minute, but only one minute. In that minute he had a point taken away for an illegal strike, and he was throwing strikes so fast, Mir grabed an arm went for an armbar, and then right after got his leg. Lesner shouldn't have taken his second mma fight against a fighter with Mir's pedigree. Thatm was his biggest mistake.
