Totally agree. The change over there sucks epicly. I hope nothing like that ever happens here. Every time I hear about an "upgrade", I hold my breath because it's as likely to be a screwup as it is to be an actual improvement.

100% agree with the quote "if its not broke dont fix it." i go on there to search for one thing and one thing only and ive complained about numerous issues about the new format and all the errors it makes. it was so much better the other way. we should do 2 polls of some sort and let it go for a good month to see if people like the new layout, and do they want it changed back.
they have to fix the errors and they still havent yet. i mean im going there just to search for socks in pictures, movies, links, personals, and discussion from dates ranging from most recent post first and on. none of that was fixed, im getting stories, posts from 2 years ago, etc... oh well, guess ya can't win em all.

They did an upgrade. It probably wasn't a decision they came to lightly.
However, humans probably wouldn't be top of the food chain if they weren't capable of adapting.

Not TMF fan to be honest go there very little, but went over to see what the new system was about.
Seems to me to be not user friendly, i prefered the old layout and hope TT does not go down the same road.
Maybe they had no choice but to upgrade, i am not sure why they did maybe it was a capacity problem it is a big site.
From what little i know they did appear to crash quite often (well more than TT) so perhaps there is a clue there.

I'll just say that I have posted on here and that I have yet to post on TMF. I'm not sure why this is, and I'm sure it will happen eventually, but . . . I feel some kind of "genuineness" here that I haven't felt on TMF. Perhaps it's the size of the community? It can't be that simple.
And the upgrade really hasn't interfered with how I feel about TMF, either. I'll be able to articulate eventually . . .

absolutely! i agree with everybody, the looks AND the functionality just sux now! we should get something together to have them put the site back to the way it was. im starting to come here more than over there when i used to come to both.

Doesn't seem that bad to me, nor does it look significantly different... everything is mostly in the same place in terms of ads and forum/thread boxes, and the color scheme is still the same white and blue that it always has been for years...The upgrade just makes everything from before look fancier.
It has all the basic functions straight off the index page such as the "search box", a "Forum" button to check all the different forum areas (artwork, tickling discussion, etc.), and a "what's new" button to check for the newest posts...
The only thing that was significantly different was how to manage attachments when I posted some pics there, but that was easy to figure out.
Other than that, it still functions just like the same forum it has always been. I can see why some people would be off put by the lack of familiarity in terms of appearance and its natural for humanity to be intimidated by change, but forum isn't altered enough to the point where folks shouldn't be able to get use to it IMHO... 😀

I agree with you there, it's not really that confusing, I think people just hate when stuff changes 😛
